The course has been cleverly routed to take advantage of a huge variety of landforms and dizzying elevation changes. Scars left from the tin mine era have been imaginatively incorporated into the overall scheme, creating a unique character at the same time as establishing an indelible link with an important era in the Island's past. Designer Jon Morrow and co-designer Al Tikkanen, have created a highly strategic and challenging 6,900 yard lay out to complement the shorter and gentler Loch Palm which is next door. While the course is undoubtedly challenging, numerous risk and reward options create a fun playing environment, an exhilarating test of golf and a breathtaking scenic tour around a course that has become a golfing landmark in the region. « less

This magnificent course is simply spectacular with a couple of signature holes, most notably the 17th. Very good caddies new all distances and Am (my caddy no. 29) had distances in metres Hired clubs and shoes. You have to take a buggy but you would not want to walk the back 9 anyway. It was pretty expensive but worth every... More

Details. Serious single figure player here. Booked thru phuketgolf.com which gave transfers and small discount. Pickup and dropoff great. Recommended. 1500bht for premium clubs was a rort. Taylormade r9s and Ping i5s were premium clubs in 2009. I5s needed regripping and were worse than my backup set. Bring your own if serious player. Course: some magic holes. A couple of... More

Probably my 8th time here and the whole set up by mbk remains impressive. The course is possibly one of the most expensive to play in Phuket but worth the experience. Unfortunately the signature hole 17th was being reconstructed on our visit and disappointed we weren't made away of this when paying. Club house facilities and f&b good quality

We had the pleasure of playing the course twice during our stay. Wow, a beautiful, sometimes challenging without being TOO difficult. The 2nd hole, a par five, is a ripper. Built in/over an old Tin mine the condition is perfect and the caddies are knowledgable, fun and worth more than the "recommended" rate. A must visit for any level golfer.

Get to play Red Mountain few times each year and every time I arrive at the golf course the scenery is just stunning. Young course in fabulous shape with very fast greens. Caddies do an excellent job of assisting you to navigate this difficult course. Narrow fairways for much of the course requires far more accuracy with your woods or... More

Played this course twice a few weeks ago on a week long golf trip to Phuket. This was by far the best course. We also played Loch palm, Mission Hills and Blue Canyon lakes. Simply amazing views around the course. The caddies were okay but being a low handicapper with a laser range finder, they were not overly useful to... More

We wnt to this golf course as part of a break in a study tour. We played this course yesterday. It was a truly great day with some in our group playing the back nine while others played the full 19. The caddies were great in offering where to aim to get the best result and were full of fun... More

What a course, this was the most interesting course I've played no hole was the similar . It was a difficult and tight course off any tee it is a true test. The greens were the best I've played on in Asia ,up there for speed with sand belt courses in Melbourne the caddies were excellent with reading the greens... More

This course is amazing - fantastic layout, lots of interesting holes. Definitely one of the best, if not the best course I have played. Definitely worth the money.
