Winding its way through a truly dramatic 1400 rai former tin mine site in the heart of Phuket, Red Mountain is one of Asia's most exciting new courses that officially opened in 2008. The course has been cleverly routed to take advantage of a huge variety of landforms and dizzying elevation changes. Scars left from the tin mine era have been imaginatively incorporated into the overall scheme, creating a unique character at the same time as establishing an indelible link with an important era in the Island's past. Designer Jon Morrow and co-designer Al Tikkanen, have created a highly strategic and challenging 6,900 yard lay out to complement the shorter and gentler Loch Palm which is next door. While the course is undoubtedly challenging, numerous risk and reward options create a fun playing environment, an exhilarating test of golf and a breathtaking scenic tour around a course that has become a golfing landmark in the region.

It has all been said, but words do not do the experience justice. I have played Pebble Beach, Spy Glass and Cyprus Point, but this course surpasses them all, for the sheer beauty , breathtaking changes in altitude, and the way the holes are carved out of the mountain. The entire course is pristine and looks as though it has been... More

Beautiful and challenging course. The course is also very well maintained and in great shape. The best one we've played on Phuket. Good caddies.

I've had a chance to play on many great golf courses and I can say Red Mountain is right near the top as one of the most enjoyable and best I have ever played. Yes the cost is a little steep (sic) but it's not like I'll have a lot of chances to play at this great course any time... More

I've played on a lot of golf courses but this one has to be one of the best I've ever played. From the beauty of the course to the maintenance, down to the caddies, it was the best. It's not the cheapest but boy was it fun. It may seem a little intimidating of a course at first but I'm... More

I choose to play Red Mountain as I was told it was Phukets premier course. On arrival I was looked after and ushered along to choose what clubs I was going to play with. I was then introduced to my caddy called "Min". I started my game by myself which was a bit disappointing but quickly caught up with two... More

Had a beautiful round of golf on one of the best layouts so far visited in my golf 'career'. Absolutely wonderful staff everyehere. The course itself is pulled out of wild land scapes with amazing holes as a result. All areas are well maintained. Dont miss this golf adventure. Only dent is the high price - but you easily forgive... More

One of the best maintained golf courses in Phuket, caddies are very cheerful and hardworking. It is a bit more expensive, but high standard, totally worth a try.

As others have written, it is expensive, but a beautiful, hilly, challenging course. The caddies are very knowledgeable and helpful. I think you get your money's worth. The restaurant is also very good. By comparison we golfed at Banyan Tree twice before this because we were staying there. Red Mountain is a clear cut above that in every respect.

This is the 5th time I have played here and it just seems to be better every time. The course along with the scenery is second to none. The caddies are always friendly and helpful. I thoroughly recommend this course whenever you are in Phuket.
