This place is an island Greek tragedy. Surely one of the most beautiful places on earth, completely and utterly destroyed by noise pollution, environmental pollution and a complete lack of forethought. Whoever in Thailand is in charge of tourism has got this totally, totally wrong. By far the main problem is the "night life" on Loh Dalam Bay (the prettiest... More

Me and my wife went to Phi Phi island from Krabi as a day long trip (it's called 7 island tour which covered bamboo Island, phi phi leh, mosquito island, Viking cave, phi phi don, maya bay etc including snorkeling in 2 places and buffet lunch at Phi Phi don), You can come to phi phi from both Krabi and... If you are a twenty-something backpacker (in body or spirit), this may be worth visiting. Otherwise, you will scratch your head to understand the appeal of these islands (unless, like most visitors, you are smoking something). Not that the islands were not great at some point in time, but thanks to the internet and movies (yes, I mean you, Leo),... More

We were 2 families with kids and we all thoroughly enjoyed the full day trip. It was tiring but full of entertainment and fun. The tour guide Lucy (boy) was a real entertainer. Overall a very good day out for the family.

My friends and i joined a speedboat tour to Phi Phi islands along with other 20+ passengers (around $75 AUD per person, 8am-4pm ish, lunch provided). I reckon you can go to Phi Phi islands at any time of the year, be mindful that during monsoon season (which is what we did) the tour may skip visits of a couple... More

This place was simply beautiful! It feels amazing to say that I was at the place where the movie, The Beach, was filmed.....my feet walked where Leonardo's feet walked! It's just sad to see how commercialized this beach has become. It was difficult just to take a photo without other tourists in it. It really was crowded. I just wished... More

OK, this was not for us. Actually, it made it worse if you don't do snorkeling or Scuba diving. If you do plan to go, make sure it's not the monsoon season as the water gets very rough during monsoon season. We had very rough time in the boat and were praying to reach safely back to Phuket. Thank God... More

We booked the day trip for phi phi islands tour and it was one hell of a scary and terrifying speed boat ride. That day the tides were very strong and our journey was very violent with so many ups n downs on the sea. The guy was crusing through the deadly tides and looking at the big tides ,... More

I took a day trip from Krabi and it was beyond my expectations. It was truly beautiful. It is a very popular tourist destination and there are hundreds of boats that shuttle tourists in and out. I wish there weren't so many tourists, but I'm sure others were saying the same about me. I highly recommend as you will not... More

Not being a very good sailor, I was a bit concerned to hear that it was a 1 hour ride to the islands, and that the sea could be rough, but in fact it was exciting, and we really enjoyed the day. The safety measures leave a lot to be desired though - there's no compulsion to wear the provided... More
