Really great kayaking, otherwise a lot could be improved.

I'll just say briefly that the kayaking was great, really enjoyed the experience of going through the mangroves and would do that again - 5 stars for that bit. Also that the... read more

I'll just say briefly that the kayaking was great, really enjoyed the experience of going through the mangroves and would do that again - 5 stars for that bit. Also that the guides we had were nice and friendly and help if you want a photo taken. But, and this is where my 'average' rating comes in, I think the... More

I am writing this while "enjoying" the barbecue dinner on the "beach". But let me start with the begining: - there was absolutely no introduction about the route, paddling, security, etc. Nothing. They just put us the paddles in our hands and told us to jump in the kayak. - there was low tide and we could not complete the... More

I'm not going to invest a lot of time with this review. I'm well traveled ( approaching 60 country's) and have experience on how tours should be run. Just reading though some of the comments below only verifies what I already know about this tour group. Yes, it's amazing part of the world and if you don't mind sharing it... More

It was my first time kayaking and I loved the scenery of the mangrove area at Thalane. Pity it rained but thankfully it was when we were on our way back to shore. Yo-yo (his glamour name), our guide was pleasant, helpful and informative.

I did the half day mangrove tour at high tide. I am an experienced kayaker. This is awesome and unusual scenery, and because of the high tide we were able to take beautiful routes leading through the canyons and winding through the mangrove. It's the only way you can see this scenery. BUT.... do not do this trip unless you... More

I booked a half day kayaking trip and the experience itself was amazing. We paddled through mangrove forests and limestone cliffs and even spotted some monkeys! The downside was the company as our tour guide never introduced himself, did not explain where we were going and offered no demonstration of how to use the paddle. Life jackets were optional.

we did a sunset kayaking trip with For friends travel and tour. Our guides English was very poor and he couldn't explain what we were doing or seeing very well. The instruction for using a kayak was useless and one kayak got so lost that we missed the sunset. Waste of money.

We bought a package of kayaking + ATV ride from a randomly selected tour agent in Ao Nang. Their kayaking tour was on offer at 500baht for half a day but our full day package was 1400 baht. Like what other tourists had done, we kayak into the mangrove of Ao Thalane. Having read and been taught so much (in... More

We did our trip through a small tour operator in Ao Nang called August Venture Travel, who booked the trip with Kayaking With Friends, but I am sure it will be a very similar trip. We were picked up promptly around 08:30 am and taken to the starting point for our kayak adventure, which was less than 1/2 hour outside... More
