Interesting place to visit and learning about Khon Kaen. And this is the relax place for reading your books because it's calm and chilling.
Interesting - if you like old Buddha statues and amulets. Not much anything in English so some objects make you guessing what they are and for what purpose they were made for. Place has been totally redone with nice taste but the rural household display is rather funny, like something we made in school plays a long time ago. Better... More
Quite an interesting place to while away an hour or two at most, out of the sun. Mostly very local artifacts , which are labelled in both Thai and English. A smallish museum on two floors and was very quiet with only about 6 other people (Thai's) visiting at the same time as myself. Luckily I was with a Local... More
Staff members here are very helpful. Although they rarely speak English, the one who explains and introduces us to each exhibit and things is a specialist. He explains in details with interesting facts about each item. For those who like antiques and history, this is a highly recommended place to visit in Khon Kaen. There are different exhibitions showing the... More
Very well laid out and informative in both English and Thai language, a little small. A little disconcerning that as a English tourist I had to pay more than the local family I was with.
I went there with my kids last month, to gove them some smart activity :) Nice museum, clean, nice staff. I can recommend!
When we went here, after paying 100 baht each (ouch!), the place was empty and the girl working the ticket counter was a tourism student who wanted to practice her English. She gave us a great tour of the museum and explained a lot!
I enjoyed seeing all the sights at the museum, and there were a lot of cool artifacts from many hundreds of years ago. I was surprised by the different items that were on display here at the museum. The only thing I didn't like was the price of admission; whereas it was 20 Baht for a Thai and 100 Baht... More
A well presented colledtion with nformation about Khon Kaen and places near there. It has obviously been recently renovated which makes it a comfortable and very interesting place to visit. We had a tour and the guide was great.
I don't expected this place to have plenty of valuable antiques from several places. The display is very interesting that I spent more than half day to explore.
