My personal opinion is that if you like tigers don't visit the Tiger Temple. The tigers are too quiet and all the staff is more focused in taking pictures and selling activities. We toke some pictures with the tigers in a very small area with no conditions. If you decide to visit it, take care and don't follow the staff... More

I had heard many mixed reviews of this place before going, but have to say my partner and I had a fantastic time, and thought the tigers were very well cared for. We booked a tour online (via Thailand Tours) and chose the more expensive option of going to the temple in the morning for cub feeding and breakfast. It... More

I was advised by Lonely Planet, not to visit Tiger Temple! I went anyway, and loved it! I love tigers, and this is your chance to get up close and personel. There are big ones, and cubs. However, the cubs are big and kinda frisky. DON'T WEAR RED! If you wear clothes, they won't let you in. Tiger Temple is... More

My friend and I have just this trip; whilst it was amazing to get close to the tigers, the company only brought us there for the last 30mins of when the last attraction was open! This is not what we had in mind when we payed for it. If you are thinking of this trip,go for the more expensive option... More

Read loads of mixed reviews on this place but when we got there, we couldn't see anything wrong. Tigers wait around taking photos with tourists in the sun or shade, it's up to them. They are well-fed and treated well. They literally live with the monks and we had pictures of them with the monks, lying over them etc... We... More

I had read mixed reviews about this place but it's been my dream for a long time to come here so I was just going to have to discover it for myself. We went very early in the morning (6am) hoping to miss the crowds. What we didn't know is that at that time of the morning, you can't just... More

Our visit to the Thailand tiger temple in June 2012 was an extremely life changing experience. Contrary to some reports the animals are NOT drugged. They are wide awake and people can walk with them and pose with them, all under very controlled conditions by staff. These beautiful animals are well fed and cared for and even though keeping wild... I think that the idea behind this whole story is quite good: Help orphan tiger babies to survive by adopting them. Unfortunately, the way the tigers are treated, especially for pictures with tourists, is unacceptable. The poor animals have to wait around in the sun for hours at a time until enough tourists are there to walk them down the... More

These poor tigers are not in good shape. I have complained to the Thai tourist authority also to the Veterinarian Association. No response from either but a reply from an American Git that works there ? as a volunteer.

On one side it was amazing to be so close to such an beautiful creature but on the other side I had a very uneasy feeling about the whole place. Wild animals are not supposed to be chained up and there were far to dopey for my liking. Even if they were full of food and nocturnal (as the keepers... More
