Reading these reviews suggests many people got the same day tour package as my girlfriend and I. If we had known the conditions these tigers were in I never would have gone. Don't believe people saying 'the tigers are just sleepy and hot', this is no excuse for their conditions. Don't waste your time or money! If I rate it... More

This place was horrible. There were no signs or visible instructions about what the place entailed. There was one part that had tigers and we were escorted quickly Through an area where the tigers were completely passed out and clearly drugged. They did not respond naturally to the environment and the guides took photos and in five minutes it was... More

A tiring 3.5 hours drive from Bangkok was worth when we reached Tiger temple at Kanchanaburi. However, seeing chained tigers was not a pleasant sight to many tourist but getting so close to this mighty creature was an experience of life!! I'll let the fellow travellers to form their opinion about this place but this is an experience you wont... More

This is a very sad place & I feel so sorry for the poor tigers. The whole place is in terrible condition not to mention the other animals. Not a blade of grass to be seen anywhere & the poor sun bear looked so uncomfortable in the heat! I will not go back & will tell everyone to save their... More

What an amazing day we had. From the time out Guide Jay picked us up promptly at 4.30 am until we got dropped off back at the hotel we were looked after like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble. We visited the ridge over the River Kwai on the way to the Tiger Temple. Stopping for a coffee break along... More

My wife and I visited this place six years ago, and how things have changed. No, the things you get to do are still the same, have pics taken with tigers, walk them down to Tiger Canyon, pay to play with the cubs etc, but the whole vibe is different. 6 years ago you could see how this temple started,... Check out my picture, see for yourself. The pupils are dialated, rolled back eyes, and sluggish. Plus the staff there are a bit cantankerous. I overheard one staff member telling another that a tiger had two cubs, and she was like you can't announce this stuff because they usually die, and the public gets all upset.

Okay, I'm about to get so American up in here. There is SO MUCH animal abuse going on in other countries and Tiger Temple is no exception. I came here because it was rated so highly with my best friend and my dad and sister while we were in Bangkok. We were picked up early and driven there, stopping at... More

After reading other reviews about the tiger temple I had to write one. My husband and I went on this tour, that also included the river Kwai.... After about 2+ hr drive, we finally made it to the temple. To me yes it was smelly, yes it wasn't fully of lush green trees and bushes, but what do you expect,... More

We went to the tiger temple because it was included in our tour, and we both came away feeling absolutely ashamed that we paid to go in. This is just about keeping the temple/monks in baht, the tigers are most definetly drugged in my opinion. The conditions that they are kept in are not acceptable for any animal of this... More
