Being animal lovers, myself and my partner visited Tiger Temple in December 2014. We were a little sceptical after reading reviews online, and hearing the internet rumours of the tigers being drugged. We stayed close to the temple in Kanchanaburi and paid for the VIP morning tour. We can honestly say that this was an unforgettable and amazing experience. We... More

Coming here as a tourist, you will have a chance to get close to large adult tigers as well as tiger cubs. The staff do what they can to make it as safe as possible and photograph your experience. To be so close to them is surreal. I have taken this further and volunteered here (several times), and I can... More

Tiger "Temple" in Bangkok! For starters its not a "temple" more like a sand pit but they make you spend more money to cover your self as if it was, making you buy long trousers and advertising short sleeve tshirts. Even the monks were employees as we saw them changing into and out of outfit! Worst of all the tigers... More

I wasn't really sure what to expect on this experience but for me the chance to see these big cats up close was too good an opportunity to miss. Firstly, don't think of a traditional temple style setting or you will be disappointed. I've read the mixed reviews on this place and the allegations and I don't want to speculate... More

Many tourists come here to pat the tiger and feed the baby tiger. Some people loved it and some people hated it. As a tourist, it's like visiting the zoo. Just want to be neutral here because I believe some people do enjoy having such a close experience with the tiger. But do I really like it? Not really. When... More

so its a massive dusty sand pit. I imagined an epic temple like structure, instead its just a sandpit with what looked like sedated tigers chained to the ground. a few european volunteers usher people around. if you want to see tigers. go to a proper game reserve and do a safari.

Trip started with donating food to the Monks of Tiger Temple. We then followed them to the temple where we all sat and played/fed/rolled around with baby tigers. This was just the start of what turned out to be one of the best days of my life! Just go and see it for yourself

This place is a three hour drive from Bangkok city and the cabbie takes about 2000 baht for a return trip.I would say that the visit to the tiger temple was worth every penny spent. The entry to the tiger temple is 600 baht and it is open till 4pm only. One can get to click individual or group pictures... More

As nice as it is to get up close to a tiger I felt the tigers were under the influence of something, dare I say drugged. The volunteers here were quite friendly but It wasn't nice to see a handler drag a tiger by the tail to turn him so someone could get a better photo.
