Having visited the tiger temple 10 plus years ago i was keen to show my kids this place and share a wonderful experience. On my previous visit i was shown around by a monk, given detailed information on why the tigers were there and what the future held for them. This was truly a sanctuary for unfortunate animals orphaned or... More

Tiger Temple, I am told is 220Km away from Bangkok. We planned this trip along with Bridge Kwai and floating market. This looks like a sanctuary where they have tamed tigers who are chained to the ground and guides will allow you to sit besides the tiger and you can take your pic. Never been so close to a tiger.... Depressing place, ashamed to say I've been there. I paid to do the tiger cub activities and then after realising that the cubs were actually the same size as the adult tigers i changed my mind and asked for a refund, the staff refused and were then extremely rude! Its a disgusting way of making money, the tigers are chained... More

What an amazing experience we stared by offering food to the monks then went in to the temple and fed and played with tiger cubs from 1-4 months . Very playfully and they seemed to enjoy t free time. Listened to the monks chanting then shared breakfast which was a bit of a scrum.after we walked the cubs back to... More

We took a detour to visit this place in kanchanaburi, however later realised that tiger zoos / temple can be found out throughout Thailand..

as a vet i can only give my opinion on what i saw and the way the tigers were acting. although they say they are not drugged (who would in their right mind say that they drug animals for photos) I would have to say that these cats acted very much like an animal that was sedated. This is not... More

While we all love Bangkok for its shopping, I had a very different experience on my last visit, which in the spirit of Christmas I’d love to share with you Sassy girls! Three hours west of Bangkok is a forest monastery called Tiger Temple, or Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua, where Buddhist monks have welcomed all kinds of wildlife through... More

Don't believe anything negative you read about this place. It was the highlight of our holiday and a day we will never forget. Our guide Alex was great. We booked the breakfast with the monks tour which was really worth getting up at 4.30 am, it is apparently much quieter in the morning. We will treasure our photos with Neptune.

I went a few days ago and greatly wish I hadn't done the adult tiger photo opportunity. I was dragged around the group of tigers told to sit, put my hand on the back then picture. Then repeat 8 times. I'm not going to comment on drugging of tigers as no one can truly know that answer so frankly people... More

I never write reviews on anything, but I felt I really wanted to express my feelings here. To be sure, There are mixed emotions when a wild animal is caged and displayed for human observation. I'm sure I would prefer to see a Tiger in the bush chowing down on a fresh killed antelope. But you know, I am never... More
