Really enjoyed this series of caves, take water, its very hot this time of year but marginally cooler inside the caves. A local child will probably accompany you and guide you through the caves, we gave him a small tip at the end but it wasn't compulsory. Takes about 20 mins to go through. Beautiful statues etc and spiritual. Hired solo taxi trip motorised for the day to seen several sites at my own pace only 400tb for 4 hours sightseeing - saw local villages & scenery on tour also

This was an interesting cave in that there's a Buddha in it. If you go further in, there are bats so I would not recommend that.

I'm a tall bloke, so don't like doing hugely confined spaces, but the caves were fine, stunning formations, colours and the odd bat flying around! Takes about 30 mins and whilst there are some tight squeezes you don't feel uncomfortable.

We rented a few bikes in Kanchanaburi and crossed the bridge, took a right and followed the road for a pretty long end (don't do this if its really hot, we did and deeply regretted not taking more water with us than two bottles).
On the way to the templecaves you see a lot of Thai homes on the side...
