As the previous reviewer stated there is confusion between Ko Tao and Khao Tao. This is a really beautiful area with a lovely secluded beach (Sai Noi) that is shown in rhe photograph. It can be busy at the weekends in the main season. But during the week there are not so many visitors. There are several restaurants here selling... More

As I can see a lot of people make a confusion between Koh Tao (Koh means Island) near koh Samui and Koh Phangan... and Khao tao (khao means beach).... So Khao Tao near Hua hin is a small beach... but koh Tao is an island and not near Hua Hin. I know, I live in Hua Hin 2 months a... More

Is a nice Island. Don't go there during the raining season. It will be totally flooded. Plus....... The waves will be up to 2 meters and thats no fun because you have to take the Ferry. Seaaaaaa Sick

A really great attraction, it's no cost, has stunning views, is serene and quite and a fascinating look at Buddhism. The local market nearby is well worth a visit too.

Wonderful place, but every time I've gone, it has rained so much the main road floods. Hire a motorbike to get around. Many bamboo bungalows, basic, but cheap. Ask for a mosquito net.

We visited last week when the tempature was in the 40's, so hot. But worth stopping and seeing. There were only a couple of tourist which made it nice to see without people everywhere.Buddha is amazing standing on the point looking out to sea. Though watch out for the monkeys as they are so quick to steal anything, even to... More

we went here for 1 week, it is a perfect island, with Koh Nangyuan 10 mins away on boat (a must see), you can swim with black tip reef sharks and the fish from snorkelling are fantastic. The beach is lovely, north sairee beach is much quieter then south

Beautiful mountain backdrop, picture postcard fishing village and man made fishing lake commissioned by the King of Thailand himself. Untouched beaches and a stunning new coastal golf course. Khao Tao is an upper market version of Hua-Hin with great no tourist prices.
