Unfortunately, most people who run golf courses think all golfers must be millionaires! This really is not the case, in the UK it is a working man's sport. Typically of most courses in Thailand, golf is expensive, this course at around £60 a round seemed to be the least expensive in the area. The course was in reasonable conditions, caddie... More

This was the first time I've played this course and as others have said it is a little ragged around the edges, but don't let that deter you from playing the oldest golf course in Thailand. My playing partner and I enjoyed our round, which was not expensive, our caddies were pretty good, and the food and drink afterwards was... More

Hua Hin golf course is the oldest in Thailand and in places looks it. Course is not irrigated and consequently course is like a British course in a hot dry summer, lots of run on the ball. Views are spectacular and the caddies clearly enjoy their job and try to ensure you enjoy the round. I am glad I played... More

The course is improving in quality . Over the last years it waz not too good. Layout is great and facilty ok. Hope that price stays moderate as prices in general are in Hua hin ate over the top. We had good caddies , what was not always the case in the past. The teaching pro is was and is... More

Good but a little well worn and needs some attention on the greens. Not that a great golfer but a bit disappoint in the quality. Better courses available and as close to Hua Hin. Black Mountain Sea Pines

This is Thailand's oldest golf club apparently so thought it would be nice to have a drink there and check out the first tee. Club house was open air, functional but certainly not elaborate. Great views though of the 1st and 18th. Bar staff and there were plenty of them seemed disinterested and not particularly forthcoming in the way of... More

In its day, this was probably a great place to play golf. It's still a testing course in places but not up to modern standards of turf maintenance etc. Greens are small and often raised. If you want to walk to a course from your hotel, there's worse places to spend a few hours. Cheap at 1,000 baht and drinks... More

Nice layout and some challenging holes, but the fairways were just too hard and very difficult to take a proper divot without injuring yourself. With proper irrigation this could be a really nice course, but after the Banyan, this was definitely a step down. Greens well maintained and a few challenging dips to contend with.

I think everything has been said about it before. If you want a nice, beautiful , high standards, perfctly maintained golf course, don;t go there. If you want to see old golf course, with centuries trees, a lot of animals, including monkeys, at a very reasonable price 9800 Baths on Wednesday), go to play there. They have nice caddies, and... My wife and I played here early May. I had read many reviews prior to playing, and was puzzled by the love/hate nature of the descriptions. Having played there now myself, I can understand both sides. If you are a proficient golfer who focuses on the best possible score, you will prefer the immaculate condition of some of the other...
