Nice layout and some challenging holes, but the fairways were just too hard and very difficult to take a proper divot without injuring yourself. With proper irrigation this could be a really nice course, but after the Banyan, this was definitely a step down. Greens well maintained and a few challenging dips to contend with.

I think everything has been said about it before. If you want a nice, beautiful , high standards, perfctly maintained golf course, don;t go there. If you want to see old golf course, with centuries trees, a lot of animals, including monkeys, at a very reasonable price 9800 Baths on Wednesday), go to play there. They have nice caddies, and... My wife and I played here early May. I had read many reviews prior to playing, and was puzzled by the love/hate nature of the descriptions. Having played there now myself, I can understand both sides. If you are a proficient golfer who focuses on the best possible score, you will prefer the immaculate condition of some of the other... In comparison to courses I have played in Thailand over the past 10 years this is in the lower half in terms of quality and experience. They currently advertise rounds on a Wed, Fri and a Sun for 800 Baht green fee. Not bad considering you will pay up to 2500-3600 Baht for a round anywhere else close to Hua... More

Very close to Hua Hin city the golf course will test even single handicappers as well accommodating those not quite there yet. Its hilly in some spots with some great views. Sure there are some better course around but I wouldn't hesitate to play Royal HH again and from memory the green fees were quite reasonable against the better credentialed... More

The course layout is fantastic, some lovely golf holes , ideal location , next to Hua Hin railway station, It cost me £50 to play a course with greens like a building site, dry and dusty fairways, one word sums it up TERRIBLE

I had Caddy who was a great reader of the greens as without her the golf could have turned into a nightmare on the greens. Beautiful course and location. Service and food absolutely loved it. at a Decent Price.

The fairways are fairly hard which I really didn't like, but I can accept that different courses have different characteristics. The most disappointing part was the staff and the service. We organised the game plus transfers, etc and because they didn't really explain the process to us we ended up rushed when we got there and never had a chance... More

Located adjacent to the train station, this is the oldest course in Hua Hin and boasts HM the King as one of its players (many years ago). It seems to lack sufficient watering so many of the fairways are fairly hard, giving good roll but sometimes making it difficult to take a divot on approach shots. Many of the greens... More

Relatively cheap, very friendly caddies, giving us great advices on the whole course. Plenty waterholes underway, and very cheap/low priced drinks. Same goes for the reaturant on the course, where we ate and had some drinks after the tour. No need to go to more exepnsive and farther away golf courses if you are in Huan Hin.
