My wife did a lot of research on Chiang Rai but somehow never came across the Clock Tower Light Show. It starts at 7PM and it is nice. The Tower changes color to music. I would not structure my day around the show, but if you intend to be in the night market area around 7PM it is only a... More

Just a plain looking clock tower which doubles as a traffic roundabout the during the day but at 7,8 and 9pm for 15 minutes, it transforms into a beautiful colour changing spectacle with haunting choral music. A must for all.

Purely by accident we came across this spectacular while walking home after dinner. At 7PM to 9PM on the hour you are introduced to a 7 minute light and sound spectacular. This has to be seen to understand just how good it is

This is another relatively new addition to the Chiang Rai architecture & is by the same artist as the White Temple, so you know that the detail is superb. A well known landmark in which to get your bearings.

A monument to I do not know what, but it tells time. 12 gongs at midday. In the evening it is beautifully illuminated.

If you've already made it to Chiand Rai and are staying the night, you're probably going to be able to see the Clock Tower from where ever you are staying. Simply walking out the front door of my hotel, I could see the tower and it was really visible at night time. Hey, you're there - might a well go... More

Right in the center of the city, this Clock Tower is quite nice and should be visited at night. A lot of nice places where it is possible to have dinner in the surrounding area.

Located in the center of the city this is something you can see far before you get close. Even on a rainy/cloudy day the bright gold tower gleams amid the streets and old buildings surrounding it. Makes for some good pictures! There are some yummy food stalls along the street here as well, so grab a bite to eat while... More

This was build by the same guy who constructed the White Temple. It is ornate. At night it is spectacular when the light a music show takes place on the hour between 7 and 9pm

Our hotel was wishing sight distance of the tower and it's at a major intersection so we passed by it several times day and night. It's monument sized, gold, a huge standout, and I had the serendipitous luck to walk by it at 8 AM when it was ringing its carillon before chiming off the hours. I read other reviews... More
