The clock is located in the center of Chiang Rai. 15 min drive from the Famous White Temple. When it lights up at night it looks so beautiful. The street has street decorations and flowers.

The clock tower is a ten minute walk from the night bazaar and is worthwhile sitting in one of the coffee shops at 7,8,9 o'clock to watch it change colour and play music. Not everyone's idea of an attraction however it is something different and there are quite a few restaurants in the area. There is a viewing area in... More

This is one great FREE kight show, It happens at 7PM 8PM and 9PM. It is one of the few FREE things to see in Thailand. No seating but still a nice break from the husstle and bussle of Tailand. There are 3 cofee shops on each corner arount the clock to grab some coffe or snack.

This is one of the sights of CR...but it will only take you 3 minutes to see. Ornate gold rather overblown design but worth a visit while you are passing by.

This clock tower is placed on city centre. In the daytime, there is nothing much to observe except the beautiful design. At night, it comes alive with different lighting. At 7PM , 8PM, and 9 PM, the clock comes to life with the arrangement of different lighting color and music. It last for about 10 minutes.

The golden clock tower is a stunning and remarkable example of ornate Thai design. Well worth the walk and stopping for a photo.

Most people who stay in Chiang Rai for more than a day will drive past this golden monstrosity, so don't make a specific trip to see it. It really isn't worth it

So it has lots of gold, and at night it has color changing lights, it is a but over the top with gold and not that spectacular, give it a skip. Of you drive past it the gold might catch your eyes. First time ever I did not even take a pic of it with my phone.
