A useful landmark, an unusual snapshot, and an excellent traffic calming measure. But an attraction?

The creator of the White Temple decided a few years ago, to give his city something to be proud of: the new clocktower. Every evening at 6, 7 and 8 pm, the clock tower plays a song and changes its lights, from purple into pink, or green and blue. Very nice to watch and a little dreamily strange on the... More

The clock tower is an impressively ornate clock. Apart from looking at it and snapping a few photos, you do not do anything, though. If you're within a block or two, it's nice to ride by and see it, esp. since it is a local landmark.

You can't miss the clock tower at night, it's illuminated and thronged with camera-clicking farang. Ensure you witness the 7/8/9pm music and light shows at least once (once should be enough - the action focuses mainly on colour change with a whirlygig lotus thingy wiggling about in the clock tower and the music is downright odd, a bit 'Titanic'. a... We saw it twice on our visit. It was really lovely. Reminded us a bit of Disneyland! The colors are amazing. And there was an awesome "street food" place on one of the corners. Pad Thai & Khao Soi were very good. They did one other diah as well. Ice cold beer! Perfect dinner of great food and a light... More

A great location to get some very "Thai" vacation shots. Close to lots of great coffee shops and the night market.

I would not journey too far for this attraction but if your nearby you should check it out. I didn't know about the show times I'll have to come back to cr to get some photos.

The clock tower is just a round about but not any round about. It's the clock tower. It's not attractive during the day but at night it has a golden color worth a few pictures. Just mind the cars and motorbikes. I liked the shape and the golden color and i enjoyed taking pictures despite the cars passing. Defenitly worth... More

The ornate, gold clock tower is illuminated with gorgeous colored lights every night starting at exactly 7, 8 and 9 pm, Lasts about 10 minutes, with Big Ben chimes and Thai music. Very beautiful! Handy coffee shop/bar nearby. Located near town center, short walk from many hotels and night bazaar.
