This is just a warning to those non-experienced motorbike drivers. My friend and I did the drive last night and the road leading up to the park is very dangerous with lots of deep pot holes that if you hit, could throw you from the bike. We also got a flat tire in the mountains (the locals really helped us... More

This is one of the great sights of Northern Thailand. Slightly strenuous but reasonable walk up last section. Simple cafe and (pay) toilets available at car park. But when I went the mist came down and not much to see!

This was the best view I have seen in my entire life. Amazing place and energy. Drive a motorcycle here to experience the unbeleivable roads on either side.

This trip was really last minute so I didn't do the logistics research that I would have wanted. It turns out that hiring a car to go there and back suited my type of travel just fine. THe logistics of staying overnight just didn't seem very appetizing as the places were smaller and more local. Phu Chi Fa was a... More

Great attraction but winter only, please. Visitors go there to enjoy the cold and the scenery with the fog over the mountains. What is more, you have to get there before dawn (like before 5am the latest), then you have to walk up hill for 700 meters. Trust me, its exhausting at that AM with that sort of temperature. Get... Wasn't as cold as I thought it would be. We went in Dec. Must get their in the morning. im an IT guy. Not a hiker. This was the easiest hike for such a view.

The sunrise from the top of the mountain is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my life! Note: It's not easy to get there from Chiang Khong unless you have a car or are ready to hitchhike some of the way. Some buses possibly go there indirectly.
