Just love this place & had been here in different time of the year. Very serene felt like u are on top of the world. Best time to visit is sunset during the low season with the ray n the wind caressing your face. Year end high season - too crowded & touristic during sunrise.

Really little chillednback place with super friendly people. Great views into Laos (and back into Thailand). We went to the lookout/picture point around noon when we first arrived, really nice. Went up the next morning before sunrise to watch the sky change from dark and foggy to light and foggy. (Helpful hint being dont put all your eggs in one... More

Incredible views that brings a tear to any eye seeing it. Looks different from the various seasons. Make sure you stay a night in the town, just to experience the local culture. Trust me, this is far from Thailand. Culture here is mountain-style. Great hospitality, but I guess that's because of the tourist dollars that enters this part of the... More

You really do feel on top of the world here! Breathtaking views, even though there was quite a bit of fog. We stayed in Phu Chi Fa town, and it took quite a while to find accommodation. There are a lot of places to stay, but the town has a lot of local visitors and the prices quoted were quite... More

After reading reviews on trip advisor we decided we had to go. The hotel and a driver suggested we leave around 4 am but we said we wanted leave earlier and glad we did. Although we left at 3.30am and the driver didn't exactly drive slow we found drawn was already breaking when we arrived at the base of the... More

Hear about this from a local. It's a 2 hr drive from CR and you have to leave at 3.30am ish to get there for sunrise. Tours don't go there so you have to get a taxi - lots of super windy roads to get there, I was quoted between 2,000-3,500 baht for a taxi from tour companies in tour.... More

Very early start (3.30am) to drive from Chiang Rai only to get there about 6/7am and everything was shrouded in mist. However, we rented bungalows nearby for 200B for half a day and waited until later. A very nice although quite taxing walk to the top was definitely worth it for the amazing views. There was only the 4 of... More

Everybody visits Phu Chi Fa to see the sunrise (including me). There are tons of people scrambling up early in the morning in the dark trying to get to the vantage point to get a shot of the sun peaking up from the sea of clouds gathered over the valley. It is truly an awe inspiring sight. The first tip... More

Sunrise on 5 Jan 2014 was INCREDIBLE. We stayed a night at a resort at the foot of Pu Chi Fa. Arriving late into the night, the street market was about to close. We quickly found a place to stay (600B a night) and tucked in early, cos the view of the morning sunrise was promised to be spectacular. We... More

You have to walk to the top, about 700 m and watching the sunset was spectacular. You have to be careful as the walk up is slippery .Just to sit there and look across the land was so relaxing .
