They've improved the beach (cleaner with more order) but the sand is rough(can't complain about this as it's the nature of Bang Saen beach) and still dirty (with chicken bones lying on the ground). Locals like to drive from Bangkok and bring their food from home sort of Thai style picnic.

For a tourist or a foreigner this is something to do when you want to change it up a little. Bang Saen beach is a Thai beach. The view is beautiful and you can walk along and smell the grilled chicken, sticky rice, and other Thai dishes that are being cooked. It does get very very crowed over the weekends... More

Bang Saen Beach is a welcome relief from all the tourists on Pattaya and Jomtien Beaches. Bang Saen caters more for locals, and is a great way to observe Thai enjoying the great outdoors. As in most seaside places, food is readily available. Well worth the drive!

This long beach is properly Thai and full of character with a terrific mix of working fishermen and large and generally very good Seafood restaurants. Good hotels in different price ranges and nicely accessible from Bangkok and Pattaya.

Big wide boardwalks and footpath. Lots of room compared to pattaya etc. this is a thai resort town and fills up on the weekends. One of the best beaches close to bangkok. Lots of great food and dinning on the beach.

The beach has recently been re-organized, with beach chairs and umbrellas have been removed and public space has been restored. Unfortunately, cars are allowed to triple-park at full length along the beach road. This causes a traffic mayhem every weekend. Besides, pedestrians can hardly see the beach and the sea from the road. What you only see are the sea... More

I've visited Bang Saen about a dozen times. It's a nice beach in Chonburi province, about 90km from Bangkok (halfway between Bangkok and Pattaya). Don't expect white sand and sparkling water, but the beach is very large and nice. There is a lovely promenade that runs the length of the beach. You can find delicious seafood here. There is a... The beach is well looked after with reasonable sand, hundreds of places to eat in the daytime but all closed by about 6 pm unless you head for the extreme north of the beach

Bangsaen Beach & Khao Sam Muk, where you can reach these beautiful places in 1.00-1.50 hour from Bangkok. It is located at Chon Buri Province. Sunshine, good weather, nice beach, sight seeing. You can get from here

You get greeted at the beach by a huge contemporary looking sign "Welcome to Bangsaen Beach". We only stayed one full day and night but it was a really refreshing break (during the week) The place had friendly locals and a very long beach to wander on. Lots of locals were swimming, although we thought it better for beachcombing... Excellent... More
