Bangsaen has the reputation, that it is dirty and full of noisy local tourists, however now it is much better, cleaner and you can find some excellent restaurants and hip places.

No one can stop You swim or breathing the Air here,but...Between Bangkok and Chanthaburi (Border Cambodia)are many quite unknown beaches, often full with local Thai People having a Brake, as they don't mind or they don't want to know about the polluted Ocean,Land and Air. Do not expect Paradise Beaches like KaoLak or Krabi or Mallorca in Spain. But everything looks... More

The first time I went to the beach was about year 2002. That experience made me never want to come back for the beach and sea. Poor water quality and beach..so throughout the years, we only travel there for the sea breeze. But my last weekend visit was really a pleasant surprise! Didn't paid high expectation due to the past... More

BANG SAEN was a pleasant surprise. It's a nice stretch of beach with visibly cleaner water than Pattaya. The beach is well maintained with a paved walking street and palm trees, food vendors offering nice sea food and local delicacies. It is clean and organised. Do not expect a Samui kind of a beach for a western taste. This one... More

Bang Saen Beach is to tourism what Godzilla is to Tokyo: a monstrosity. The beach is covered by rows upon rows of beach chairs and parasols. Orderly rows, 40 seats in a row, 2 meters to the next row. About 20 000 chairs in total. There's not much beach let to speak of, there's not a shred of sky visible... More

Especially popular amongst Thais from Bangkok. Many go there for weekends, so very crowded. All other days it is very very quiet, and you have the beach and restaurants on your own. Very nice beach promenade with great seafood restaurants.

Ugly beach covered with sun-umbrellas. The beach and also the sea were quite dirty. Good and cheap food was available.

You can enjoy the wave, these little waves are small, very small and you don't have to be afraid when letting your children play with waves. But the local people will not let you enjoy the silent. They always asking you to purchase something. They are not loud, but they often come like those waves.

Well, I wouldn't want to swim here or let my kids play in the water, as there is litter everywhere. There are deck chairs in the shade for rent.
