On the way to Pattaya you can take a detour to this hidden gem. The beach is excellent and it's quite popular now amongst local thais. Clean, clear water and an escape from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. If you like beaches this is the best and closes to Bangkok. You will need to drive down with a hired... More

We stayed in Ang Sila which is about 5km away but cycled to Bang Saen both for the day and night. Just off the beach is lined with street food sellers and a few clothes stalls which is lovely to experience but the beach is dirty, it's not luxury by any stretch of the imagination, it is authentic though and... Just an hour from Bangkok and you can relax in the famous beach. However, it is rather crowded on weekends.

Bang Saen beach is beautiful, family friendly and has lots of different activities. You can choose from so many different types of food. From sea food to chicken to fresh fruit, as well as street vendors there are the people who walk around the deckchairs selling everything. From candy floss to toys and can even get your nails done or... More

Today, Bangsean has many things change, It looks better in many ways, more clean, more segmaneted, more kiosk arrangement, open more beach walking ways, etc. These are good signs, which will bring back Sea Sand, Sun feeling to the tourists.

My second visit to bangsaen as it is one of my favourite spots in Thailand. The beachfront has soo many street vendors cooking up fresh Bbq meats of all sorts. There are lots of bars and restaurants that you can sit and watch the sunset. We stopped in at the Tele bar for a few beers and to watch Buriram... More

I heard about this beach as being better than Pattaya. So I went there for the first time but did not like it at all. Yes, the beach in itself could be nice with its long stretch of sand and even palm trees. But first of all, it is very very commercial: vendors everywhere and every bit of the beach... More

It's nice to get away from the usual Bangkok busy lifestyle to enjoy a Thai local style holiday. The beach is not very clean and street food vendors come around to sell their food, which is not fresh, but it's good that they are not persistent or nasty.
