We did the first 2 days of the 5-day Similans trip and had a wonderful time. Cabins were comfortable and spacious, boat crew helpful and friendly, the food was plentiful and really tasty. The boat was well equipped for diving, the instructors knowledgable and enthusiastic and generally the only downside was that we hadn't booked for the whole 5-day trip!

Thank you Jessica B for the five-start review :) The only complaint I see is you wished you could have stayed longer. Next time you're in town get on the five day trip or do the last three days you missed to Koh Bon, Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock. Thanks again and see you soon, The MV Oktavia Crew :) More

Just back from a trip to the Similans and Koh Bon, Tachai and Richelieu Rock on MV Oktavia (16 - 20 Apr 14). This was my second trip on Oktavia having been aboard for a similar trip 3 years ago which I enjoyed very much. I was pleased to find that this trip was just as good. As always, the... More

I spent 5 wonderful days on M/V Octavia and here are a few details about the trip that might be useful to those who are looking for a diving adventure in Thailand: - The boat is nice and solid; rooms are quite small but clean; shared bathrooms, but there are 4 of them, so it wasn’t an issue even to... Thank you Ana K for taking the time to review us :) Five days and nights is the best way to experience the diversity of the sites with us as with you guys and 30 minutes with a whaleshark must have been an awesome dive! Diving in Thailand is always special. This time was even better thanks to our friendly hosts on M/V Oktavia. It was great that we had our dear friend Branko, trip leader, who made us feel like at home. We saw and experience extraordinary dives, and playing with whale shark was unforgettable. Dive guides and whole crew on board were excellent,... More

First off, the Similan and Surin islands are truly among the wolds best dive destinations. What you'll see underwater absolutely will amaze you. Oktavia is the right way to get there. The crew is very professional and they know really a lot about marine life. I learned so much during my five day cruise. Allthough the conditions were challenging at times, I felt safe all the time. The boat is comfortable and functional + food is delicious. All in all excellent trip!
