Arusha National Park is very close to Arusha itself. We stayed at Twiga Lodge and it was a great start to our 12 day holiday. Twiga is literally 5 minutes front the park entrance and a delight after the long trip from the UK to get to Kilimanjaro airport. We also had the services of one of the park Rangers... More

It was trip worth remembering. Our driver Athuman from the company we travelled with one Migunga Adventures from Arusha picked us very early in the morning from hotel Impala. The park is well composed with everything for everyone from walking to the waterfalls, canoeing at momela lakes to game viewing with lots of animals but without the big cats. Lunch... More

Arusha National Park is about 40 minutes driving distance from Arusha. This park offers a great opportunity for a mini-safari. We had our own open roofed jeep and the ranger was knowledgeable so we spotted many animals, giraffe, buffalo, hippo, plenty of monkeys, whart hogs and many many flamingo's, bush buck etc. We brought a packed lunch and had a... The Arusha National Park is a small protected area, but gave us really good value in the short time we had to try out a safari, prior to climbing Kilimanjaro. Our guide Harold picked us up from our hotel at 9am, the national park being about 45 minutes away. We had an open-roofed jeep, and basically edged around the national... More

the park proved to be compact but beautifull. Full of wildlife, very green wih lush vegetation and without predators it looked like animals Paradise. The tour was organised by Wayo Africa and included a 2 hour canoe safari on one of the lakes. well worth the experience to come so close to a hippo while in a Canoe.

Although small, this park offers a nice opportunity to view various wildlife. However, a half day visit is probably sufficient.

Day tour of Arusha National Parks. In the morning from the hotel to the Arusha National Park. The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress. Hollywood also chose this region to film the movie "Hartari" in which Hardy Kruger starred alongside the legendary John Wagne. The day trip will include a visit to... More

My wife and I arrived in Arusha 2 days before our OAT Safari was to begin. This was a great way to recover from a long travel day. On our second day we had booked a full day tour of Arusha National Park with Kibo Guides. Arusha National Park is one of the smaller National Parks in Tanzania. Since this... More

Arusha NP is a great high altitude park with a healthy animal population despite its proximity to Arusha. True primate lovers must not miss this place to see the colobus and Blue monkeys in proximity.
