We took a 10 day tour of East Africa in April with our two boys, ages 8 and 12. Our experiences were all very positive and memorable. Simon and our guide, Bonny, coordinated a flawless trip. We started in Nairobi and filled the day with local sites. We were promptly greeted at the airport with a driver who took good... More

We just completed a short trip with Eastco,it was brilliant! At the end of our overland safari we had arranged that Simon's guide would pick us up at Makuyuni to start Eastco's Elephant trails safari. We wanted to do some walking and get a feel for the Maasai culture without going to the tourist villages we saw at Ngorongoro. The guide Lazarus... I traveled to Tanzania for the wedding of a high school friend in early March 2012 and couldn't very well leave the country without tacking a safari onto the trip. My friend and I , both 20-something year old females, decided to book a safari with Eastco based on the good reviews it received here on TripAdvisor. The safari did... More

From start to finish this safari was amazing. All the accomadations were great, with amazing views and different characteristics. The icing on the cake being Ol Tukai Manyara, which i wont give details about but it was a big suprise and definately worth it. The camp sites are the most luxurious tents ive ever stayed in, with beds and toilets.... More

My husband and I are in our 70's and will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this year. What better way is there to begin such a big year than to go on a safari in Tanzania. We had a wonderful experience of not only seeing the wildlife, but of getting a feeling of unpretentious welcome from everyone we met.... More

Simon and his outstanding crew set up a truly remarkable experience we will never forget. My husband and our two children, ages 13 and 14, spent two weeks on a journey through most of Northeastern Tanzania this past summer with high expectations that were far exceeded. Our devoted driver, William, was our companion throughout the entire tour. Aside from calling... More

This was our first safari and was by far the most wonderful vacation we have ever had. From the planning stages, Simon was very responsive and patient with my barrage of questions. He arranged the accommodations and modified the plans to suit us well - all I had told him was that we wanted to see the migration and had... More

We started our preparations as usually recommended by many, by planning our route based on two main inputs: 1. Some good books and 2. Suggestions in the forum. Books we purchased were: • Tanzania – Bradt • Tanzania – Rough guides • Tanzania – Culture smart • The Safari Companion – Estes. The main idea when buying that book was... More

I copied the itinerary of a well-known American adventure company, sent it to Simon and he quoted me a price that was one-third of what the other company charges. A private 6-day safari thru three parks, my own guide, cool jeep, unlimited miles, accommodations and food. When my arrival flight to Nairobi was delayed by 12 hours, Simon quickly made overnight... Tour: We booked a 10 day safari visiting Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and Tarangire national parks with the company. Our contact throughout was Simon. The country, the national parks and their wildlife are simply stunning - go and visit! I will focus here on the travel company we used. Organisation: The suggestions Simon provided in the run up regarding route,... More
