A traditional landmark where you can see the religious culture of Taiwan. It's also beautifully constucutred but is currently under renovation and scheduled to re-open in June this year. But you can still take a good picutre of it from far away (which actually would yield better picutre than standing close to it). The best place to take a picutre... More

Small pagodas where a lot of locals go there during the Chinese New Year. There is really not much to see except to go in from the dragon mouth and go out from the tiger mouth to bring you good luck.

We live near the Lotus Pond and we often enjoy walking around the various pagodas in the afternoon. I recommend this as the first stop of any tour going around the lotus pond. You can pick up information about the temples and pavilions at the visitor information center next to these pagodas. I also recommend making your way to the... More

We visited lotus pond and i had a nice walk there. There are so many spots that worth taking pictures of, and one of them is this pagoda. Though it's quite difficult to reach this place from mrt station, i think it's still worth visiting.

Kaohsiung has great weather on winter than Taipei, so this place it's one of great spot to capture. We went there by bus from Ecological station. It takes more than 1hr waiting for bus no. 51B to Lotus Pond stop. The sign inside the bus is in Chinese , so you need to pay attention to every stop. We went... More

We wanted to take a stroll around Lotus Lake and visit the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, as well as the Spring and Autumn Pavilions. We reached about 4 pm in the afternoon and left about 8 pm at night. We visited the pagodas and took a couple of pictures. The ones taken at night turned out really nice. Worth a... More

On Lotus Pond, not a essential visit if you're short of time in Kaohsiung. But worth a look if you're not. They're big, brash and bright. There is a lovely temple just a little further up (opposite the Spring and Autumn Pavillions) that's worth a look. Don't feel bad if you miss it!

classical chinese architeture in kaohsiung, a good place to visit in the city if you would like to get a view of chinese building. The buildings were located within the lake, leading from the shore is zig-zag bridge.
