Many exciting stories of buddha inside the exhibition place... I recommend you to visit this place when you're in kaohsiung And also there is a shuttle bus service from... More

Immediately after the Welcoming Hall, there are four pagodas on each of the two side-ways leading to the Memorial Hall. There are four stupas on the four corners of the Memorial Hall. Then comes the grand Buddha statue, the largest metallic Buddha statue in the World. Each of the pagodas has a thematic exhibition, such as the history of building... More

This is a massive and successful showpiece of new era Taiwanese Buddhism through architecture, art, exhibits and media presentation without the typical incense -filled air and sound of shaking divination sticks.Comfort and convenience for visitors have been fully addressed with air conditioning, open garden spaces, benches for tired legs and decent F & B outlets such as Starbucks coffee .On... The Memorial Centre can get very crowded, but it is great to visit and explore. Provides some great views and photo opportunities. I enjoyed the Monastery most of all, so much to see and lots of places to walk around and explore. A very peaceful environment with several trees and birds. Not nearly as busy as the Memorial Centre. Great... More

This is a great place to visit. if you can hire a motorbike, then I would recommend seeing this and the Fo Guang Shan temple together. It will take you about 90mins to ride all the way out here because of the all the traffic lights, but the roads are good and it is an enjoyable ride. The temple closes... More

This is beyond my expectation of what the Memorial Centre was going to be. The space is HUGE, spanning many football fields leading to the centre with a giant Buddha. The exhibits inside are not bad either and all absolutely free. But I was very impressed with the sheer size of the central field. The only thing I thought kinda... More

This was probably the best thing we saw in Taiwan. The size and scope of the center is hard to describe. The towering Buddha that overlooks the complex is amazing. There is a lot of walking to see the entire complex but you become so engrossed with all the sculpture, towers, gardens, that you just seem to wander forever. Some... More

I went to there with my friends and coworkers to visit this beautiful place. Walking throu the hallways and looking to the amazing artefacts of buddha gives you a inner peace i never experienced before. If you open minded and let the place take care you you will leave with a feeling of happiness.
