The Kaohsiung Museum of fine Arts is small but has an excellent home collection of Taiwanese and Chinese art and periodically hosts internationally famous collections of art. I have seen, Salvador Dali, M.C. Escher and Andy Warhol in the past 2 years. It also has a small gift shop that is worth a visit. The museum has adequate parking, good... More

I rather liked this little gem of a museum. By little, I don't mean the space because it had sprawling lovely grounds with trees and water features as well as a nice large interior. Though I missed the Yayoi Kusama exhibition by two weeks (I caught up with it in Taichung!) but I liked the range of exhibits on show... More

I like the glass sculpture exhibition in May, there are other topics, e.g. Kaohsiung Arts on the 3rd floor, for more contemporary ideas. the Museum is big and worth a visit for > 2 hours.

The museum is set in spacious grounds and the interior is spacious too, making it a really pleasant space to walk around in. We saw two local modern art exhibitions, both of which are great. Nice shop too!

I have been to Kaohsiung a few times in the '90's, but usually for work. After accomplishing the job, I would leave without any urge to visit Kaohsiung again. It was not a very interesting city. A few years ago, I was invited to the opening of an exhibition at the Museum and I was very impressed by the quality... More

This is a great museum for fine arts -- it is massive and although the architecture is nothing to rave about -- it's sheer size is begging for content And for my trip -- I specifically came to see the Yayoi Kusama Retrospective -- and it was well worth the trip. The usual amenities are there but there's no café... More

Nice place to spend a few hours, but If it has no featured exhibition it can be quite dull, The permanent collection is not that interesting or at least it was not to my taste. It has nice open and well kept grounds around the museum, good for a stroll if the weather is not too hot. When we visited... More

The facility is very peaceful and permits you to enjoy the precise in a different ways. The morning run after seeing the museum was great.

you may go jogging in the park, it's sort of large, it offers pond, ducks, turtles, fish, birds,,, trees,,, or even just take a walk around the whole area. it's really nice. Most of the residents around like to enjoy the area,
