A very interesting place. We were on the lookout for A Kaohsiung T-shirt but none to be seen. Plenty of t-shirts though as well as lots of everything else. There are many Tombola type of stores and games of chance. Apparently gambling is illegal here so that form takes place instead. (Maybe this is why its so busy) We had... More

We were here on Saturday night and the market were just full of peoples, especially China tourist. The stalls are many and the walking lane are too small, we can't even stop to buy things because you were like getting push to front by others from the back. Ohsss. We got out from there less than hour. :(

This night market seems more local. You can see more students and families. But it is still crowded by Mainlanders, since they would also have heard of this interesting place. You have to try the oyster omelette here.

It's a short walk from the Kaohsiung Arena Metro station. We went to the stalls with queues to see what ppl were queuing for :) fried chicken is always popular in Taiwan! Don't be daunted by the crowds in the first three rows. There are many more rows behind and with sitting space. There are also stalls selling trendy clothes.... More

Although the food was good, the space was overcrowded, especially on weekend. I have never imagined that how people could move in this such place. Compared to Shilin market in Taipei, the atmosphere is more narrow that make me wanna get out of it without enjoying my dinner, which i had to take the food home instead of trying a... More

If you wish to escape the tourist hordes at Liuhe Night Market, then Ruifeng Night Market is the place you want to go. Our hotel staff reminded us that locals no longer visit Liuhe because of the tourists, and Ruifeng is where they congregate now. They were right. The moment you step out of the Kaisyuan MRT station, you will... More

Plenty of stalls are available here including game stalls, massage stops, clothing, accessories etc. One local told us to visit after 7pm as most of the stalls will be open. But it will also be crowded even on a weekday night. Here are some items that we recommend: 1) wok fried noodles 2) Lee Ka crystal sugar Nanjing duck 3)... More

Besides the crowd, best to visit around 1930h onwards as most shops that sells clothings (not really recommended for plus size ladies) and accessories are already for operation. If not, go for the food, then shopping, then food again.

This night market is compatible with taipei shilin and raohe night market. Selling lots of fanciful foods and stuff. Just a walking distance from 巨蛋 kaohsiung arena mtr station, you will see lots of people heading toward the direction. Will visit this night market someday.

Thank Cole C
