Loved this place.. Cool calm.. My hote was right next to it so stepped down in the night to grab some beer by the river. The kaoshuing port trust runs ferries in the river for tourist which I did not opt for as I wanted to sit by the river n enjoy for some time. There are various cages around... More

I loved the Love river. We rented a boat to go up and down the river. But my favorite thing was next to the ambassador hotel they had restaurants you could sit and enjoy dinner/a snack/or a beer along the river.

The Love River as it is called is a famous river in Kaohsiung. The River is actually very still as water comes from the Ocean and from the Mountains. It gets its name as one of the Chinese Characters in a signboard fell off and the rest of the words meant Love and ever since locals started referring the river... More

During the day nothing special actually, but at night time life moove on'. The tourists boats use LED light and bring color to the site. I recommand to go on weekend, you can bring little children's and grand parents too. You have some restaurants and cafe on sides with musicians and artists praying music. On day time there is nothing... More

We stopped here on Edison’s Five Day Island Tour and to see sculpture, Dragon Fish. Not sure why. Neither were of any interest.

took a boat ride there too but nothing is really special. somehow the love river still have the fishy smell (people from Kaohsiung said that the smell is better now rather than before. so you can imagine how smelly it was) and they dont have a lot of good cafes besides the river.

The 'love' river was nice to visit and walk along side, but definitely not a must see. The side of the river has atmospheric lights which illuminate the path and the bridges along the river are also lit up. We didn't take the boat down the river but I think if we did we would have had a great time.... More

I have actually been to Love River many times during my 32 years of visiting Kaohsiung. I'm at Peace every time I go there, you can even take a boat ride, marvelous

Nothing to dislike - it's a nice pathway for cyclists and you can enjoy the river side view. Easily accessible
