We stopped here on Edison’s Five Day Island Tour and to see sculpture, Dragon Fish. Not sure why. Neither were of any interest.

took a boat ride there too but nothing is really special. somehow the love river still have the fishy smell (people from Kaohsiung said that the smell is better now rather than before. so you can imagine how smelly it was) and they dont have a lot of good cafes besides the river.

The 'love' river was nice to visit and walk along side, but definitely not a must see. The side of the river has atmospheric lights which illuminate the path and the bridges along the river are also lit up. We didn't take the boat down the river but I think if we did we would have had a great time.... More

I have actually been to Love River many times during my 32 years of visiting Kaohsiung. I'm at Peace every time I go there, you can even take a boat ride, marvelous

Nothing to dislike - it's a nice pathway for cyclists and you can enjoy the river side view. Easily accessible

I and my boyfriend went there because we were impressed by its name and hope to have the romantic atmosphere here but it was not. It was a bit dirty and not as green or colourful as we though it would be. Maybe it would look better in the evening. But be careful!!!! A lot of mosquitoes around the river

Kaohsiung has done a good job of providing long riverside cycleways and promenades that create a pleasant ambience along what is frankly an unspectacular canal-side setting. A few arty installations, shady spots to relax with a coffee or a local cold tea creation and some judicious planting make the Love River a comfortable spot for a lazy stroll or a... More

The main attraction of this place is the colorful light from the buildings on the river side. You can also take a river cruise if you want to enjoy the scenery more.

I am a Malaysian Chinese currently studying at KMU in Kaohsiung. So from year one till now I have been staying nearby the love river for about four years. I jog on the track located just beside the love river occasionally. You can experience the lantern festival during the Chinese New Year, which always fall somewhere between end January to... More
