It's true nature and lovely views! Definitely worth it and even doable in 1 day (with a private taxi).

Beautiful hiking experience and a lot of caves, rocks and river. Taroko National Park refers to the whole area and includes many attractions within it; e.g. Qingshui Cliff, Swallow Grotto, Baiyang Falls, Shakadang trail, etc. Booking a cab driver will be useful!

I went in mid-July- it was super hot, but still more pleasant than the city area, so not entirely wasted.. though I'd go again in cooler months. Taroko National Park refers to the whole area and includes many attractions within it; e.g. Qingshui Cliff, Swallow Grotto, Baiyang Falls, Shakadang trail, etc... One can spend 15 minutes to a few hours... More

We spent a great day in Taroko park filled with hiking trail, climbing mountain, fantastic view and walking along the gorges. We booked a taxi for the day which was only NT$ 2800 and the driver helped us to find the best location. A must do when in Hualien!

Simply out : a mesmerising drive along some of Nature's most spectacular formations. Sheer cliffs, wilderness, deep gorges are characteristics of this National Park.

I've went a couple of days to Taroko. It's nice that it's free entry into the park and there are English brochures to follow (except for the Buluowan trail, there's a typo which says it's 50 minutes round loop but it's actually 5 minutes, that was disappointing). The best way to get there is by getting a NT250 day pass... More

If you like mountain cliffs, ancient temples, long quiet hikes and clear blue streams this is the place to go.
