Palmyra was fantastic, the drive there from Damascus was lovely, our stop at Baghdad cafe on the way there was fun, and they had wonderfully clean loos. We visited there in mid November 2010. It was bigger and better than I expected. And with the remaining ruins and surround other facinating places such as Tower tombs, and straight street of the old roman ruins, we were happy to visit there.
