We visited here in the fall during the annual Peanut Festival...yes, peanuts are grown on this island off the east coast of Jeju Island. Autumn was a good time to visit there because it was cooler and not so crowded. Our pension owner, Mr. Lee, picked us up at the ferry and drove us to our accommodation, right across the... More

We took the ferry from jeju to udo as it was a must see... we went there off season, it might be the reason why we were not impressed by anything on the island, and disappointed for the beaches. must be tried during the tourism season otherwise you will face many closed activities

If you are ever in Jeju-do, you have to make a day trip to Udo... Udo means "Cow Island" - so named because the shape of the island looks like a cow lying down... but try as I might, the island on a map doesn't look like a cow to me, but I guess the ancients who named it looked... More

Our kids (7&10) enjoyed the rock climbing, surf and sand...not to mention the modestly price ferry ride. We attempted to rent a motorized vehicle but there were no rentals for four people...maximum people limit per vehicle was two and one of us did not have a driver's license...so we took the modestly priced bus trip. Note that a home-country drivers... More

Actually this cozy small island is what jeju island is about. Most of jeju island is increasingly urbanized but udo maintains its small town fishing charm. Best place to eat seafood.

You won't wanna miss the awesome peanut ice cream. The beaches was clean and beautiful. Too bad we have to leave with ferry by 12noon, otherwise I believe I can enjoyed more. However, I was lucky to have at least 2hours tour in Udo Island. Because I was told by the tour guide, last week she lead a tour to... More

We didn't get to spend as much time on Udo as we would have liked. I would have liked to so the Olle Trail but there wasn't enough time. We had walked up a steep hill thinking we could get to the lighthouse but you go at it from the other side. If you don't want to walk rent a... More
