To get to this island, one has to fill in a form and pay for the fees. All is convenient and easy peasy. Then, the ferry ride is quick. We opted for a bus tour. The tour was in Korean and we couldn't understand a thing but considering it is one of the easiest method to get around the island,we... More

yes, it is beautiful! you can either cycling, riding ATV or follow a bus tour to go around Udo. I paid 5000won for the bus tour which started from the jetty. Many tour buses going around the 4 main attractions, you can simply hop on hop off the tour bus. The first stop which brought us to a hill had... More

I visited here with my family, so we drived our rental car. But if you don't have an international license, then rent a bike or motorcycle. You can rent it in a reasonable price. There are 5 bus stations here and those are nice sights. There is a beach in two sights and one of them is a popular site... More

Loved this island, I recommend exploring it by foot. We interviews the monk the temple for our film "Jeju: A Bicycle Adventure" and he was super kind and served us coffee and drink.

After parking the rental car at Seongsan Harbor, we hopped on the ferry (KRW 1,500) to cross over to Udo. Upon alighting from the ferry at Cheonjinhang Harbor on Udo, we headed to the Udo Tour Bus counter and got ourselves a ticket each (KRW 5,000). The whole tour is conducted in Korean. Not a single hint of English but... More

It is a small island. we took the boat from Jeju. In a lobby full of Korean people, speak no English or Chinese. It was a bit challenge for me. ;) helpful enough, when I tried to talk to the ticket officer, she spoke a little Chinese. The boat took around 15 min. it is a pretty simple boat, with... More

Udo is a mini-Jeju, with traditional elements such as stone walls, farms, female divers and ocean cliffs all compressed into a much more manageable area. I rented a bicycle with a basket from an old ahjussi for 4000krw (3 hours). His stall, or rather tent, was located just at the ferry terminal. There are shops across the street that rent... More

Udo isn't for everyone and I actually wish that a lot fewer people would visit because the island can get crowded with tourists in cars or on ATVs and scooters. I have lived in Korea 2.5 years and travelled extensively during my time here. I will be going back for my 4th visit next week, each visit for no less... More

Very peaceful place that must be visited when you are in Jeju. When you arrive in Udo, you can join the mini bus tour after getting off the ferry. Of course, you can also rent the motorbike and drive around. Be aware of the ferry time going back to the City. It was definitely a highlight of my Jeju trip.... More

Udo is an island very close from Jeju-do. It's next to Seongsan-ilchul-bong, which is also famous. It takes about 15 minutes by boat from Seongsan port. You pay for entrance to the island with the boat fare. The usual course seems to be walking up the hill in Udo, Gummerlae, and checking out the lighthouse surrounded by lots of stones... More
