Udo is a mini-Jeju, with traditional elements such as stone walls, farms, female divers and ocean cliffs all compressed into a much more manageable area. I rented a bicycle with a basket from an old ahjussi for 4000krw (3 hours). His stall, or rather tent, was located just at the ferry terminal. There are shops across the street that rent... More

Udo isn't for everyone and I actually wish that a lot fewer people would visit because the island can get crowded with tourists in cars or on ATVs and scooters. I have lived in Korea 2.5 years and travelled extensively during my time here. I will be going back for my 4th visit next week, each visit for no less... More

Very peaceful place that must be visited when you are in Jeju. When you arrive in Udo, you can join the mini bus tour after getting off the ferry. Of course, you can also rent the motorbike and drive around. Be aware of the ferry time going back to the City. It was definitely a highlight of my Jeju trip.... More

Udo is an island very close from Jeju-do. It's next to Seongsan-ilchul-bong, which is also famous. It takes about 15 minutes by boat from Seongsan port. You pay for entrance to the island with the boat fare. The usual course seems to be walking up the hill in Udo, Gummerlae, and checking out the lighthouse surrounded by lots of stones... More

We went around the island via a three- wheel vehicle we rented for two hours. It was definitely a nice view going around, a lot of attractions to see, white beach with very deep blue water, lighthouse, mountains, cliff, and the island was almost in a very vibrant color of yellow due to the rapeseed flowers blooming that spring time.... I heard about Udo Island from a few of the other ladies I was traveling with. They had seen pictures and couldn't wait to visit. I tagged a long for some good fashion outdoor fun. We rented bikes for the afternoon and took a ride around the island. The weather was perfect and we were able to see some great... More

Taking a quick ferry ride will bring you to a breathtaking place called Udo Island. Rocky coasts, beautiful beaches, and crystal clear waters are what you will find on this little farming and fishing island. I decided to rent a bike on my trip and wander around the coastline. In my opinion, it was the best way to see the... More

Udo Island, a small volcanic island 10 minutes by ferry from Jeju Island. A day out on this island can be a bore to those who have no affinity to the outdoors, particularly that of the sea. But if you love the care-free life of roaming from one sandy beach to another rocky one. In between with lots of coastal... More

We love this place!!! It is so so so so so so so beautiful! Travelled with my hubby and 2 kids and took the earliest ferry to Udo. The ferry we took is those that doesnt come with seats and we have to sit on the floor like the Koreans do. Rented 2 scooters and rode the around the entire... More
