This brew pub is located in a restored water pumping building for the City of Albany. The space is huge but very attractively done. It is a beer-lovers destination, with all the beer brewed on site. The food is good...hearty pub food. The service is friendly and prompt. We go there often.

Easy place to meet friends in a fun setting. Love their hefeweizen beer. Food is typical bar fare but is pretty good.

The pub offers good American fare. The staff is knowledgeable about the history of the equipment, function of the building and past activities of the area surrounding the establishment.

I've lived in this area for over ten years and despite numerous disappointing experiences at this restaurant, I continue to go in hopes that things will change. Here's the deal: this is a really cool brew pub in a large historic building. The beer is exceptional, but the food...ugh....the food can be horrible. There's no consistency. I have literally been... Very nice atmosphere. Very reasonably priced beer sampler. I found the beer to be good, but nothing really jumped out to me as a must have. Calamari was also good, breaking could use a little more seasoning. Was cooked just about perfectly though. Steak and chicken sandwiches were both very good. Steak was cooked medium as ordered. Nice! Overall, very... More

Beer is their "thing," and they do it well. They offer a nice variety of beers, and it was easy to find something we each liked. I recommend the house-made potato chips as a starter. Perfect accompaniment for the beer. The rest of the food was not as good. My short rib was tender, but it was a bit dry.... More

We went there on a Sunday for a pub lunch and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was great as was the beer. The environment is authentic brewery-style with lots of room. Couples and families were there. We really felt that we made a great choice for lunch and were surprised that it wasn't rated higher here on T.A.

For a restaurant of its type (pub) I'd say it's one of the best. Great atmosphere (you can walk around & upstairs to see the beer making equipment & process), clean and bright seating areas. Our food was fine (fish Reuben was excellent!), and they've got an impressive beer selection. Our waiter was efficient, courteous and attentive (your mileage may... More
