For a restaurant of its type (pub) I'd say it's one of the best. Great atmosphere (you can walk around & upstairs to see the beer making equipment & process), clean and bright seating areas. Our food was fine (fish Reuben was excellent!), and they've got an impressive beer selection. Our waiter was efficient, courteous and attentive (your mileage may... More

Had a group of 20+, with reservations and were seated in reasonable amount of time. However wait staff seemed overwhelmed. It seemed as if the seated several large groups and a few 8 table tops at the same time. I counted two wait staff had about 50 tops within 5 minutes. Understanding the overwhelming nature of that many different parties... More

We went on a week night, on our way up to Burlington, Vt to visit breweries. We had tried eating here at the Albany Pumphouse on previous visits but the wait was always too long. After being told it would be about a half hour wait, and leaving out name , we found seats at the bar. We started with... More

Love love love the varying beer choices here. It is a must stop when we travel to the capitol region. The beer menu has a few staples that are always available and it also has seasonal offerings. If you are a beer lover it is a must !! Enjoy!

Very busy at lunch time as part of the Albany Pump Station Restaurant. Beers tried in a flight were enough to make a decision and enjoyed all most all. Lunch was delicious with a large assortment to pick from.

It's a busy place. Noisy and bustling with people. Carrying on conversation with a group is almost impossible. Their Beers of course are the signature of this venue and do not fail to please. Food is great and reasonably priced. Service is pleasant and quick even if its really busy.

I am a beer fan, so I try beers, both craft brews and unusual draft offerings whenever and wherever I can. I have been to C.H. Evans several times, though not recently, and I have always enjoyed their beers. I visited last night after a hiatus of 4 years. I was alone and asked to be seated at the bar.... More

Like to take clients here for lunch or dinner as the brewed on premises beers are award winning and the food is equally as good.
