Not able to go up at weekends

Very impressive skyscraper and the surrounding area is interesting, almost futuristic. Disappointed we couldn't take the elevator as closed at weekends.

Its ok. The highlight was a very sweet woman at the desk up top, who was very knowledgeable of what you were looking at. Not much to see if its hazy. You have to go on a clear day. Its a decent free attraction but I'd recommend doing other stuff that takes longer.

Visit the Observation Deck to get a great view of Albany and the Hudson River. Check their website for open and closing times.

Get the right elevator and go straight up to the viewing tower-shows Albany is really not far out of the appalachians despite thinking it's hip central

Beautiful views from up top. Better hope you're not going when there's a school trip, that'll completely ruin the experience. About 200 kids completely flooded the observatory, I barely had a chance to take any sort of picture.

They say you can see 70 miles from the observation deck. It was a great view and there were informative plaques along the windows to let you know what you were seeing in the distance. It was very nice.

Beautiful vistas. Panoramic views. Limited shopping . Stop in to preview where things are and get a sense of how to navigate the capital area.

The Corning Building is located near the NY Museum in the Plaza behind the State Capitol. It's the tallest building. Simply go inside the door and up the escalator to an elevator and zip up to the 42nd floor for a tremendous view of the city and surrounding countryside. And it's FREE! There were no lines when we went on... More

Can't give this 5+ due to not 360 degree view! One side looking northwest toward airport is lacking. But it is an excellent view otherwise. I think it was 42 stories. Beautiful view of Hudson. Adirondacks, Berkshires, and all the downtown attractions. Excellent diagrams pointing out all the highlights. No restaurant or bar etc. free. Parking in underground garage .... More

Take an fast elevator ride up to the top of the tallest building in Albany and take in the view. You will see city, river, mountains, and fields. And you can look down on the rest of the Empire State Plaza that is a work of art when viewed from above. Even if you don't like heights, the nice thing... More
