It's not big but enough to inform and enjoy. Also has display space used for changing exhibits. Staff is very nice and very helpful! Pretty place to enjoy old Albany.

Thanks to Pat for going out of her way to find us accommodation when we arrived in Albany. After many tries got a place by the water with magnificent views and a very spacious/clean apartment. Would highly recommend a visit to the information centre

Being from Albany, I thought I knew all about Albany. Need to know where to eat? Talk to them. Just want to know a bit more about... More

The Visitors' center has many items from the old Dutch period of NY as well as information on Albany life in the 1800's, and the surrounding region present day.

One of the oldest buildings in Albany updated with a modern ampitheater. Regular art exhibits and children's classes held. Try the newly remodeled restaurant next door - the Old English Pub - or the Albany Pump Station to the rear.

Albany is one of North America's oldest cities. If you don't have time to explore all the old buildings and sites, this place in the heart of Albany's downtown can give you a great overview in about an hour's time at no charge. Large photographs combined with examples of tools, household goods and clothing help newcomers understand the early beaver... More
