This park is probably the nicest place in the city. It's the "central park" of Albany. Nice for tennis and such and nice during Tulip Festival. However this probably isn't a place you really want to be at night. Also, the lake is pretty smelly. Like a lot of places in Albany, this could be a lot nicer with some... More

The park has a beautiful lake house. The park in May is covered with tulips. The park hosts plays free admission all through the summer! The park has nice outdoor seating! Definitely a park worth seeing!

This was with our grandson. It was not as good as the other park we where at in Mass. It took about 50 minutes to go through the park. When you get to the park house be careful people are trying to park and it slows traffic up. However for $15 it could of been a little better. But ok... More

One of the best times to visit Washington Park is in May, just before the annual tulip fest (held on Mother's Day weekend). The weather is perfect for a stroll around the tulip gardens. You might even see some artists working on their easels. In August, the Park Playhouse offers two, free outdoor plays (donations accepted) which provide family entertainment.

This is a jewel in the crown for Albany NY. The park is impeccably cared for, and the love shows. Would suggest that people come in early May for the tulip festival, and champagne in the park, and many other events The flowers are absolutely magnificent and unforgettable. I have lived here all my life, and can never remember anything... More

This is a great park to visit at any time of the year, and is best done for its tulips. There is an annual tulip festival, Mothers Day weekned. Park was designed by Olmstead, and there is a lake in the park. At this time of the year, Thanksgiving to Christmas, there is a holiday lights in the park show... More

This place is picturesque during the day. There are dogs running in the dog park, kids playing around the fountain, a nice play ground, families fishing on the lake which has a theater that presents a play for several weeks during the summer. It holds lots of festivals including a pride festival, a holiday light festival, and a tulip festival.... More
