My office is just around the corner from Washington Park and I love going there for a walk or to sit and enjoy my lunch. The pond, with an arched bridge and fountain, is beautiful. There are grand old trees, bushes, and other landscape features that make for a pleasant stroll. The park is located within walking distance of many... More

It is a very lovely little park, just right to do a little walking and enjoying the fresh spring air. Easy to get to and didn't seem busy. A nice city park to escape to.

A pleasant enough municipal park, as such things go. However, there is, shall we say, noticeable laxity in the matter of cleaning up after dogs. Watch where you walk.

Loved the atmosphere and of-course the beautiful tulip beds on display. Not all the beds had full bloom though, but were more than what I had previously seen. The booths set up for the festival were really interesting especially the arts and photography section. Was there for a few hours but was able to soak in the festive mood. The... More

Found at the intersection of Broadway and Pine Street in downtown Albany, the Hudson River Way pedestrian bridge connects the busy business district to the Corning Preserve Park along the Hudson River. On weekdays, you can see many downtown employees using the bridge to cross into the park at lunchtime. The bridge itself is worth a visit. Crossing over the... More

Designed by same person who did New York city's Central Park. Lovely plantings and specimen trees. Beautiful lake. Tulip fest in May with zillions of tulips. Not to be missed.

The Tulip Festival is great fun, but really it's more fun to visit just before or after the festival when the tulips are blooming and there are less crowds. It's a beautiful park - designed by Olmstead I think - and worth wandering. The boat house, the statues... it's all more enjoyable when there's not a festival going on -... More

We have visited the park several times over the years. It is a wonderful place for a walk or run during the warmer months. Love the holiday light display in the winter. We always feel safe and comfortable!

We didn't spend a lot of time in the park since the weather was not great; however, there is plenty to do in the nice weather from sports, a lake, biking, etc. It must be pretty when they have their Tulip Festival each spring but will have to go back to see that. There is on the street pay parking... More

The park hosts a number of musical and cultural events from spring through fall but my absolute most favorite is the annual Tulip Festival held every year on Mother's Day to honor Albany's Dutch heritage. The park is ablaze with almost 200,000 tulips planted by the city garden crew. There is music, food, crafts and hundreds of people taking pictures... More
