The park is especially beautiful during the tulip festival in may.During the summer excellent plays are offered with reserved seating. The park is nice place to walk and stop at the lakehouse for refreshments.During the winter the park is available for winter activities.

Enjoy the beauty of the flowers, the lake in the middle of the park. Good food vendors all around the outer park, plenty of room to play Frisbie, to hit a ball around or to just lay out a blanket and enjoy the scenery, don't miss Washington Park with the kids

Tour guide opened my eyes to wonderful plants/trees in this park-beautiful to see when flowers blooming and leaves are out-interesting historical details regarding plantings.

Big enough for a walk, for a jog, for groups of friends and for solitude seekers. Very nice atmosphere!

The park was designed by the same person who did Central Park in NYC. It is a beautiful, peaceful park, with several monuments, dog play area, and a children's play area.

The annual tulip festival is a big event in Albany but it's better to view the tulips the week before to allow room to take pictures without the crowd. Park Playhouse is an amateur theatre, open air, with seating on grass risers. Each year a different musical is presented. This is enjoyable and well received by the crowd. You can... More

Park is a Central Park of Albany since the designer created Central Park also. Small little memorial to Sgt. Johnson who yesterday was awarded the Medal of Honor 97 years after the fact. Many trails to walk and run with Tulips and flowers beds.

We attended the tulip festival but it is a great place to take a walk, or ride a bike. Beautiful lake, the boathouse is very picturesque. The sunshine made it even better. No problems with any locals, actually people were very friendly.

My office is just around the corner from Washington Park and I love going there for a walk or to sit and enjoy my lunch. The pond, with an arched bridge and fountain, is beautiful. There are grand old trees, bushes, and other landscape features that make for a pleasant stroll. The park is located within walking distance of many... More
