This is a classic turn of the century theater, wonderful stage, Attracts wonderful performers like Mark Knopfler, Bonnie Raitt, the Albany Symphony which is terrific, and occasionally musicals. I love it there, and there are good eateries and bars within an easy walk.

My friend and I saw Sufjan Stevens here in April. It is truly a treasure of the Albany area. The theater is beautiful and the acoustics are great. As much as I truly enjoyed the show, I think I spent at least a quarter of my time admiring the venue as a whole.

Beautiful theatre, comfortable seats and we sat far, far left and could easily see every part of the stage. Took our granddaughter to see Sesame Street Live. Had a great time. Theatre staff are very courteous and helped us find our seats quickly.

The Palace Theater is an absolutely beautiful venue, located close to local hotels & restaurants, easily accessible off Exit4B from I-787 southbound. Seating pretty comfortable. Audio was terrific but I think that depends on the band's audio engineer. We were there to see Get The Led Out, a Led Zeppelin cover (hate that word) band. Venue seats about 3000 and... More

A lovely old theater with classic architectural features. Great for smaller events, such as comedy and intimate concerts. Good views from even the upper sections. Seat rows are narrow and anyone over 5'8" will have to sit with knees bent at an acute angle.

Concert was fabulous. The venue was amazing. sound and line of sight perfect. Ian was in wonderful form as were all his band mates. Visuals thought evoking and warm ups via video interesting. Ian never disappoints.

I was staying at the hilton on lodge street and happened to meet one of the four Seasons (they sing back up for frankie Valli ) as our conversation progressed I was invited to go see the concert and I got back stage passes! Ahhhhh! When I pulled into n.y one of the first thing's I saw was the palace... More

I absolutely love going to this theatre - be it Joshua Bell and the Albany Symphony, a rock concert like Interpol, or even just for a movie (love to see Warren Miller on the big screen!). This is a beautiful old theatre with great sound. Haven't had a bad seat yet, but warning, there is no elevator so if stairs... More

The Palace Theatre is a great venue to see a concert or watch a movie. The acoustics there are fantastic. The theatre has been restored to its original grandeur, with its gold leaf painted ceiling. The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of parking just a block or two south of the theatre. Very enjoyable!
