I'll drop a few lines just to say "thank you very much" to Helene (always very gentle!), Juliana (a very nice and fun person!) and, mostly, Francine, the divemaster. I'd had a serious problem in my last dive, back to April'13, in Phuket, Thailand. After that dive, I didn't feel comfortable and secure for diving anymore. I had a chance... More

Me and my wife did about 10 dives with Octopus on Jan 2013. We emailed them first, but the info offered by email was a bit sketchy. On our first stop at the shop we were very happy with their helpfulness and nice spirit. All of the instructors, divemasters and other staff were smiling, helpfull and very very professional. The... The entire team, from the dive master to the person who picks the equipment, are very corteous. Is a very well trained equip, they are responsible and the equipment is new and very clean. IWe did 2 diver, one in the morning and another on afternoon and between the both dives they arrange a lunch (take away), if previously requested... More

We read in other reviews that beginners like this center and that experienced divers are on the fence. We have been diving for two-decades and were also taken aback (as were other reviewers) by the necessity to carry equipment to boats. In the dive center they make a big deal about saving the environment. Accordingly we were very surprised by... More

Do not use this dive center unless you are a super diver. You will only get attention if you are cool.

My wife and I took an intro dive with them. They picked us up from our hotel, gave us a briefing and we were on our way soon. Neither my wife nor I can swim but the instructor took good care of us and enabled us to enjoy the dive near the island of St Pierre. Getting off the boat... More

Completed my PADI OW referral here. On Mahe it was EUR375 and here it was Eur290! Good shop, very capable staff who spoke English quite well. My dive instructor was Francine and she made sure I was well looked after and informed all the way through. The owners were good too, very friendly and helped with our hotel transfers. Machine... I did a double tank. Max 6 people + 1 dive master, I find it a bit short with inexperienced divers. On our first dive, we spent ten minutes at the sea bed, waiting for everybody, the dive master going up and down to grab everyone. And the dive site (white bank) was not good, only rocks on sand, nothing... More

Our teenage boys enjoyed a fantastic day with Octopus Diving when they took their first scuba dive. The instructors took very good care of them, both in and out of the water; they were given comprehensive training and accompanied by an instructor throughout the dive. This took place at St. Pierre, a small islet, a few hundred metres off shore... More

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Especially divemaster Hugues who was taking good care of me as a begginer diving in so rough ocean, big thanks to him :) We were feeling very welcome everyday, even on the days we weren't diving (chatting, getting useful information about the island, helping with renting a car, checking internet etc.) Everything was well...
