My son and I were staying in Tel - Aviv during our visit to Israel in November 2013. We were at Hamat Gader before, this time it was my son's idea to go and visit the attraction especially the crocodile farm. So mid week, we hired a car and drove to the attraction, we got there by mid morning. I... More

Came here in 07 ... The place is massive with multiple hot springs and pools. Plenty of stuff to do for a whole day ... Drive up is a little tricky but views are amazing!

Its about a 30 minute drive from Tiberias. It has a hotel attached to it which we did not stay in. We ate in the restaurant which we paid extra for at the entrance. I didnt like the meal nor the service. We didnt visit the ruins nor the animals and we went straight for the hot baths. The indoors... More

Two visits to Hamat Gader have confirmed it as a restorative place to relax for the day, although at the end of the day you are tired, and if you can arrange a group to go in a sherut this will save you the drive home. Facilities are good with clean bathrooms and storage lockers for your belongings. The main... More

Built by the 10th Roman Legion, these ancient thermo-mineral springs continue to spread joy and a vigorous hot (107 degrees F) bath. Forget that the place is in a narrow scenic gorge between Golan and Jordan. Forget that you paid to get in so you can infuse some sulphur. Just focus on your head and neck being bombarded by a... at the tip of it so it feels a bit isolated from the rest of the country. It was not crowded but we visited during the week. Facilities for the SPA are OK. It is is not fancy but clean and functional. Kids really liked to visit the animals section and volunteers where really friendly. It has ancient Roman archaeological... More

I have enjoyed the two main attractions - the hot springs and Crocodile Park. There is a big thermo mineral pool with thermo mineral waterfalls and some kind of Jacuzzi. The pool is in a good shape and not overcrowded ( except for Fridays and Saturdays).Tips: • If you want to try hotter and purer water, you can check the... More

We visited Hamat Gader on a November weekday evening as part of a hotel package at the Ein Gev resort (on the eastern shore of Kinneret). We probably would have baulked at paying the rather steep entrance fee had it not been part of this package. Being the evening, most of the attractions other than the hot springs were closed,...
