I think is a really nice historical place and perhaps you even don't need a guide, because is so crowded.

In the same area as the Church of the Annunciation. A small and beautiful church, with an interesting area downstairs that you should take the time to see.

A church. What makes this different is the fact that it has some things to discover when you enter the tombs beneath the church. Nice experience and far better looking than the big church of the annunciation right beside this one.

This Church is on the same property as the Church/Basilica of the Annunciation. The Church itself is nice but the ruins below are quite impressive for the parts that you are allowed to visit. It is amazing how people lived in these caves during this time. Worth about 30 minutes of visit time.

the Jewish roots of Christianity are seen by the baths in the the lower level of the church. It's a one minute walk from the Basilica of Annunciation. It will enrich your spiritual and historic tour around Nazareth.

Tradition asserts that the Church of St Joseph in Nazareth is built over the carpentry workshop of the husband of the Virgin Mary. The present Church was built in 1914 on the remains of a Crusader church and over a cave system. There is no evidence that the cave over which the church is built was Joseph’s workshop. A stairway... I felt tempted to give this a 5 star rating because Jesus spent so much time there and I was happy to get to know this part of His life a little better. However, in order to help orient someone who is pressed for time, I wanted to differentiate between, say, Old Jerusalem and Nazareth and, of course, by comparison,... More

Background: According to early traditions, St. Joseph's Church is built over the site of Joseph's carpentry workshop. Later traditions identify this site as the house of Joseph, Mary and the young Jesus. This church is located northeast of the Basilica of Annunciation, slightly uphill and past a Franciscan monastery (the Terra Santa monastery). Built into the exterior wall to the... More
