Actually, it is a Franciscan church built in 1914 over other ancient churches. But the interesting part is the lower level, where you can caves and barns from the 1st century before Christ. It gives you an idea what it looked like when Jesus and Joseph were there working.

This church contains rooms below the nave of the church purported to be the house of Joseph where he lived with the Holy Family. The wonderful spirit of the place is refreshing. It is easy to miss as it is a bit away from the Catholic Church of the Annunciation. Just exit out the side doors and follow the courtyard... More

This is the house of the Holy Family, where Jesus grew up and learned his carpentary. Some of the old walls still well preserved and you feel special to be able vist this place. Its just a minutes walf from the Church of Annunciation .

Located almost in the same premises of the church of Annunciation. Just a small walk away. It's a little difficult to imagine that you are entering the premises that Jesus Christ actually lived. Remember to go down the stairs & view the cave where the Holy Family lived. There are a lot of paintings & stained glass to depict the... More

The Church of St. Joseph's Carpentry contains ruins dating to the 1st century, and is revered as the original workshop of Joseph and home of the Holy Family. The site actually was abandoned for many years until Franciscans bought it in 1754 and set up a chapel dedicated to Joseph.

I think is a really nice historical place and perhaps you even don't need a guide, because is so crowded.

In the same area as the Church of the Annunciation. A small and beautiful church, with an interesting area downstairs that you should take the time to see.
