If you want to see something from Lombok I recommend you to vist the Waterfall, it takes aproximately 2 hours from Senggigi, on this trip you see the coast and the coastline. The waterfalls are beatifull, especially the second one. you can even swim at the waterfall. Don't forget to bring walking shoes and watershoes with you! At trip to... More

There is a bit of up and down but the walk is not that intense. The waterfalls are beautiful. It is definitely worth travelling to the second fall which is nicer than the first and once you are at the first it really isn't much more of a drop or climb from there anyway. The walk was quicker than we... More

The waterfalls are beautiful! You will read a lot that the first waterfall is the most beautiful one... well, it is the tallest one, but it is not impressive... you will also read that the second one is difficult to access (and need a guide?)... -->> my take is (1) go to the second one and (2) don't worry about... We engaged Tour Lombok to organize a waterfall day tour, the highlight was the Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls. The route to the 1st waterfall was easy and paved. The route to the 2nd waterfall involved climbing over rocks (some were quite slippery) and crossing the river. The 2nd waterfall was breathtaking and swimming in the pool was an... More

The waterfalls (especially the second one) were completely amazing, I felt in awe at just how incredible and huge they were. The trip there from Sengiggi took quite a while, around 1-2 hours in the car to a small cafe place where there was a toilet. Then we started the walk (around 2 hours total) to the waterfalls. The walk... More

We were torn if we should go to the waterfalls as it is over two hours drive from sengiggi. It was a long drive but we saw a lot of interesting stuff on the way, a wedding, lots of locals going about their day. We got our driver to organise everything, but we got a great local guide, who wasn't... More

First, you probably don't need a guide. It's pretty obvious to get to the first waterfall---just walk down the hill. To get to the second, there is a path off to the right. It's pretty easy to follow and is maybe a 30 minute walk/hike. Also, you will probably see tons of locals and other tourists going the same way... More

Although some previous comments mentioned about not needing a guide, having one may help to carry your stuff and also to look after them while you have a dip. I agree that they made it look like a guide was mandatory although it was not, so I suggest you decide for yourself on the guide issue. It gave me a... More
