We were torn if we should go to the waterfalls as it is over two hours drive from sengiggi. It was a long drive but we saw a lot of interesting stuff on the way, a wedding, lots of locals going about their day. We got our driver to organise everything, but we got a great local guide, who wasn't... More

First, you probably don't need a guide. It's pretty obvious to get to the first waterfall---just walk down the hill. To get to the second, there is a path off to the right. It's pretty easy to follow and is maybe a 30 minute walk/hike. Also, you will probably see tons of locals and other tourists going the same way... More

Although some previous comments mentioned about not needing a guide, having one may help to carry your stuff and also to look after them while you have a dip. I agree that they made it look like a guide was mandatory although it was not, so I suggest you decide for yourself on the guide issue. It gave me a... More

My friend and I had decided on not getting a guide after reading some reviews on here. Once we were up there though, we got persuaded into having one. They tried to charge us 350,000 IDR for the both of us but we got it down to 150,000 - but at the end of our trip we clearly paid too... More

Visited there with my guide from Galang Ijo as the last place to visit of my Mt Rinjani Trekking. Actually, it was my last camping place due to some changes of my trekking plan. The first waterfall was nice and managed to swim in the river. It was cooling experience. It was great to have the guide from Galang Ijo... More

Agree with TSaada8 comments. They tried to rip us off for 500 000 rupiah saying "Regulations - must have guide" but this was not true so shame they lie. Easy to do walk without guide but we were happy to pay 150 000 for a young guide to assist us and feel that was a fair price and helps local... More

Yesterday we had a lovely day at the waterfalls. After a 2.5 hr drive from Senggigi we were taken to a restaurant and asked to sit down for lunch. We told them we were not hungry and that we wanted to go to the falls. They then showed us a laminated piece of paper staying the different prices to go... More

We paid Aus. $55 for 2 to complete walk with tour guide allow hour each way. Need to wade through river with rocks and boulders we wore crocs which proved to be excellent some steep and slippery bits of forest on way to second waterfall. Spectacular view at the second fall so if going to do suggest do both. Toilet... More
