It was good but best to stay there till 7:30-8:00 as sun goes up and the lakes show their real colour. Most of people left at around 6:30 as they had drivers/ojeck waiting. After that it was very peaceful. As someone suggested l walked back but from the car park to the park entrance it took me 30 mins. As... More

We rent a bike to go to Kelimutu from Ende. Its about 68km from Ende. Beatiful views of the 3 lakes of different colours. Recommended sleeping in Moni.

It has a mystical quality and the three lakes and the folk lore surrounding them all make for a wonderful visit.

This is a pretty spot, and its fun to hike up there and be up there for the sunrise. But do not expect bright red lakes or anything like that. The red is gone, so the lakes look more normal now. But its still a nice spot.

i went up with friends and our guides were great, thanks Andy and Willy! We left Moni around 8am and it was clear and not cold when we arrived. At the top we watched the clouds come in which was fun too, and were lucky no rain!

We visited this place twice and were very impressed. It is not difficult to get to - we recommend that you get transport up and walk down to see the various villages. Do not miss the arboretum just after you start the descent and remember to take water and to turn left in the second village opposite Agnes place to... More

We were led to believe that you could see all three lakes at once and that they are all differnent colours. Whilst we were there, two of the lakes were the same colour turqoise. It is impossible to photograph all three lakes at once except from the air. The mountain scenery is fantastic.

A stunning view on the three colours of the volcanic lakes can be experienced w/o crowds in the sunny afternoons. This is how we decided to see it: we omitted the sunrise trips and were there alone in the late afternoon. Beautiful and quite magic.
