Well, if you decided on something as a landmark, i wish the government put some serious attention to make this clock tower looks beautiful. Everything are underdevelop and definitely need attention. Food hawkers are everywhere and lack numbers of garbage bin. What makes this tower is so different from any clock is the way they write the 4 oclock..

The landmark of Bukittinggi. Recommend to visit this visit at night on weekday, you can take beautiful picture there. On the weekend, it will be very crowded, difficult to find parking space. From here you can go to Pasar atas for buying souvenirs like songket, miniature of "Rumah Gadang" or "Jam Gadang", etc, and also try spicy culinary food surrounding.

A beautiful landmark of Bukittinggi. A must place to visit. It's like the coolest place to hangout for the local. But beware of the pickpocket, they're around the landmark.

Just wandering around enjoying the massess. As people gathers. There's a Minangesse group as artists, singing and playing music for small amount money passerby willing to give. Buy Kerupuk Siram a piece for IDR4000. (A large fried cassava chips, vermicely on top and poured with Padang sauce. Not spicy at all, yet satisfactory for snacking time) Walk around near establishments,... More

you can get there by foot. We took a private driver from Padang to see Bukittingi and the attractions around it. You can get here by bus as well, but I trust this might take good few hours. It is rather a small city, not that much to see there, although the way here is amazing- tropical trees, mountains and... More

Where all the teenagers, street sellers, family and couples will hang out in evening until late night to enjoy the cold weather. Pasar Atas will be just around the corner, this is where the mall Ramayana situated at. Try to buy the kueh pisang which triangle looks from the street seller, it's quite nice.
