A visit to Bukittinggi is not complete without a photo with the landmark of Bukittinggi. Jam Gadang is always bustling with people as it is surrounded by shops and eateries. Here, I caught a ride back to my hotel on a horse-cart which are always readily available but be sure to haggle for the best price.

It's a miniature Big Ben on the main square of Bukittinggi. It's not particularly tall, it does no tricks, and it was two minutes slow when we were there. It's about as exciting as a digital alarm clock. The park and square do provide the opportunity to see the beautiful fabrics worn by the local ladies.

Nothing to see here. It's a small, unremarkable clock tower, surrounded by a zoo of vendors of cheap to shirts and other trinkets.
