Just wandering around enjoying the massess. As people gathers. There's a Minangesse group as artists, singing and playing music for small amount money passerby willing to give. Buy Kerupuk Siram a piece for IDR4000. (A large fried cassava chips, vermicely on top and poured with Padang sauce. Not spicy at all, yet satisfactory for snacking time) Walk around near establishments,... More

you can get there by foot. We took a private driver from Padang to see Bukittingi and the attractions around it. You can get here by bus as well, but I trust this might take good few hours. Where all the teenagers, street sellers, family and couples will hang out in evening until late night to enjoy the cold weather. Pasar Atas will be just around the corner, this is where the mall Ramayana situated at. Try to buy the kueh pisang which triangle looks from the street seller, it's quite nice.

Good landmarks for taking picture, but somehow it's too crowded for me. There's so many things and unique things you can look at and buy, but again it's too crowded with those mobile promotion from Telco company

Food stalls and even fast food restaurants are here too or just beside the square. You can take a horse ride although we didn't, but we did buy some... More
