Good landmarks for taking picture, but somehow it's too crowded for me. There's so many things and unique things you can look at and buy, but again it's too crowded with those mobile promotion from Telco company

It really is a nice place to visit being a couple of minutes walk from the Hills Hotel. There are people sitting around everywhere and lovers strolling through the small park. Food stalls and even fast food restaurants are here too or just beside the square. You can take a horse ride although we didn't, but we did buy some... More

Interesting design snd location in city centre. Its an old clock with a combination of Dutch and Indonesian design. It has a string of history behind it. Great place to sit and rekax , large square abd plenty of shopping stalls.

Glad they had the clock tower barricaded and cordoned off, and off-limits to the public (no entry) - to protect and preserve it, I would think so. Its black-and-white facade gives the tower a "new-ness" to it, makes it quite regal-looking - I loved how my photo turned out: with the two pine-trees flanking it, the picture looked like it... Clock Tower has several times been improved since it was built in 1926. Environment around the Clock Tower has been laid out well. In the afternoon, many tourists and local people who come to this location. In addition to enjoying the atmosphere, they can also enjoy the typical food of West Sumatra are mostly found in these locations. From the... More

We did not spent a lot of time in Bukittinggi, but we will come back. A good advice is to have a Rendang from the restaurant on the same square in front of the tower. The only and the real Rendang!

This place is the icon of Bukittinggi, which have to be visited if you are in West Sumatera, Indonesia. It's called "Jam Gadang". The visit to Bukittinggi won't be completed without taking selfie with "Jam Gadang" background. The place is in the heart of the city, and there is a big square surrounded by shops and markets. If you see... More

The Jam Gadang or the Big Clock, is the icon of Bukit Tinggi area. Its exactly in the city center. Very crowded though. But its nice... Its a pitty that we cannot go up to the top anymore. They stop this because of the massive earthquake few years ago.
