I stayed at Thalassa for 1 week in January 2016. January is the low season in Manado so the resort was very quiet (around 6 guests in a resort which caters to about 50 in high season). We dived Bunaken, sites around Manado and had 1 day at Lembeh. Boat crossing to Bunaken takes about 20 minutes. We went across... More

Stayed for 2-nites to relax after 12 days of diving in Raja Ampat&Bunaken Island. Nice pool, good food, great room. Staff was not very helpful. Low season & we felt they were bothered when ever we asked for anything. Resort needs to be cleaned up.

Thalassa is one of the best dive resort, I've visited so far. Very professional, but also friendly staff. Their motto fit perfectly - where guests leave as friends. Our plan was to stay there 1 week, but we prolong that for 10 days. Also my friend make there finally OWD and after short discussion with Simone - both made AOWD.... More

I took the discovery scuba diving course (2 hours theory and practice in swimming pool + an hour diving) in Dec'15 at Thallasa Manado. The location was nearby Manado city, it's easy to access. The course went great! The instructor was experienced and patient to teach how to dive for the first time. And the thing I appreciated the most... More

We have dived with Thalassa many times over the last 8 years. We have seen improvements made since last year in the resort when they had just moved into the accommodation. Our new room was very spacious and the staff at the resort are helpful and friendly. The introduction of a barbecue night and pizza night gives greater variety to... More

This is a very well organised diving resort, just slightly different from many other dive centres. Here, you indicate your wish list for dive sites and they will try their best to accomodate your desires. At other places, you usually have to go with what the center has planned for the day. The ratio of dive masters to guests are... More

Went on 1 day fun dives with Thalassa when i'm in Manado. Everything was fine except one thing. I was talking to the local dive guide who was assigned to me in bahasa indonesia. And found out that he and another dive guide only have rescue diver certification instead of divemaster certification. This really surprises me after my conversation. And... More

In our resort we take all comments and critics seriously and so also this one. The fact that most of our very experienced (1000+ of dives) are "only" certified Rescue divers is proof that we take the education of our staff seriously. It is VERY easy to just give a license as a Divemaster for any PADI instructor willing to... More

We stayed 2 nights but should have stayed much longer. The rooms were so comfortable, quiet, private and tropical decor. Great fresh food and incredible diving very reasonable pricing.

Basic dive resort with none of the fancies but the resort crew, dive masters and dive site selections were superb. Was there for 4 nights and did 1 reef dive, 3 dives at lembeh and 5 dives at bunaken/manado. The package initially included only 6 dives but it was too good to let go the chance to jump into water... It is fantastic rustic resort, the diving experience was really good. I went for the refresher course and the instructor was professional and patient. The dive guide ratio was fantastic and really get to see amazing wall reef in Manado. A must do in Thalassa is the high land tour, very good and personalised guide that brought us to see... More
