We stayed at Thalassa in June 2014. We were met by Thalassa's staff at the airport & it took 45 minutes to reach the dive resort. We were briefed by Ms. Lilian upon arrival (a pity that we didn't get to meet the Dutch owner, Simone as she was back in Holland. She was always prompt & detail in her... More

As a member of a group of underwater photographers we stayed at Thalassa for six days in May. I found the staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable but not well lit. The photography room was finished while we were there and is well appointed although slightly small compared to other resorts. The diving was amazing... More

Thalassa’s kitchen team is keen to ensure a great daily variety of menu choice. We serve fresh vegetables, meat, chicken or fish each day. Sometimes we even have our so called “Fruit Festival” offering a lot of different local fruits for tasting. We highly recommend not peeling the skin of the fruit with the teeth as this can cause stomach... More

My visa was running out so I didn't have time to stay on Bunaken or Lembeh so I chose to do a day of diving with Thalassa. It's pretty expensive to dive with them and it's about 30 minutes by motorbike from Manado city. The resort is pretty nice although I didn't stay there or use the facilities. They let... More

I stayed at Thalassa with a friend for 5 nights in a cottage. The team was very friendly, Simone very welcoming. The resort is quite nice; it is meant to be respectful of the ecosystem and it seems they succeed in this respect. Rooms are very spacious, beds were very good. Overall comfort of the resort is ok, but the... More

Apart from excellent comments about the friendly and helpful Thalassa staffs there were also some negative points mentioned in this last guest’s comment. We are fully aware that our Resort is not perfect yet but we strongly believe that we are on the right track with our present effort to get there soon. In a couple of days our new... More

honestly, that's what we divers are looking for, a divebase where u feel like family :) u can plan ur dives individually, for example I'm not an early bird, so I did one dive at 10am and the next at 2pm. I could choose the site together with the captain and my instructor - no problem! Simone runs the resort... More

We stayed 12 days in March 2014. After a very difficult and lengthy flight to Indonesia (1 day delay) embellished with the loss of our luggages, Simone and her staff were there to erase immediately all difficulties and hassle we could have faced to reach this beautiful place. We are really thankful for that. Our bungalow was comfortable, very clean,... More

It has all been said in the other reviews, so I' ll keep it short rather than copy the ones before us. Simone, Liane and the crew are an incredibly friendly bunch of people. In over 30 years we have seen a lot of dive centres, but Thalassa does stick out. Simone' s slogan "come as a guest, leave as... More

We have so much to say! We came here in January on either side of a trip to West Papua. Traveling as a couple with friends also. Divers (but will write here for non-divers also). For All: Friendly, clean, welcoming and great value! Their motto 'come as guests, leave as friends' is absolutely true! From the dive staff to the... More

Sometimes you hit places that have it all. Beautiful surroundings, great people, lovely food. This is one of them. We stayed for 6 days to relax and snorkel prior to a science conference in Makassar. We flew to Manado and got a hotel pick up to Thalassa Dive Resort, half hour outside the city. And we immediately felt at home.... More

We stayed here for 6 days to discover the Bunaken diving. The resort is a bit in the middle of nowhere, but for diving it's great to stay here. We had a huge bungalow with seaview with a very large bed, airco and big refrigerator. Bathroom is a bit outdated, but with a good hot shower. The house reef offers... More
