A must visit for history buff

If you're into history, this is one place you must visit in Surabaya. Located in the centre, its really easy to reach. Very clean, and you will definetely enjoy it!

If you're into history, this is one place you must visit in Surabaya. Located in the centre, its really easy to reach. Very clean, and you will definetely enjoy it!

I went here just 3 days ago with my little brother It is open daily except Monday and National Holiday from 08:00-13:00 WIB No entrance fee for the Tugu Pahlawan complex (Heroes Monument) But if you want to come visit the 10 November museum, you got to pay for 5k rupiahs only And free for students if you can show... More

Love this place. Clean and child-friendly. There's a museum at the back of the monument and the pieces are great if you wanna learn about Surabaya history. Entrance is only 5000 Rp.

Night illumination on the monument is okay. But fortunately, it is closed after 6pm i think. So I can only took photos behind the fences.

You know this place is the hero monument and hero museum . Inside you'll see there's a museum with free newspaper inside of it . The history is when surabaya get attacked by Netherlands , the leader kill the captain of Netherlands soldier so there's a big war and its called 10 november So its the history of it If... More

This is a good museum to learn about Indonesia’s part in World War II and its struggle with colonialism after the war. The display are in both bahas and English, so it’s easy to navigate through and learn about Indonesia’s history…at least since World War II. The monument was built to honor the soldiers who died while fighting for independence... More

Surabaya is the City of Heroes, the historical spot & the starting point of the independence movement, in the 1950s. So visiting the city without paying a visit to the Monument of Heroes is just a big blasphem !
