In hope my admission ticket money goes to the well-being of the animals I visit them more than once. Although it is just very depressing seeing skinny sick-like animals throughout the zoo. The pungent smell goes throughout the zoo and the animals look so sad being there. It is not a good experience at all to see animals just waiting... More

The zoo is in a sad state and needs major revamp. Very sad and disheartened seeing all the animals. Honestly feel they were not fed the proper type of food. Animals will follow you around when they see you.

Once known as the largest zoo in South-East Asia, and also known as the zoo with the most collections of animals, the Surabaya Zoo needs major fixing, renovation, and touch-up. Unfortunately, maybe in the past decade, there have been numerous unpleasant issues arising regarding the existence of the zoo and all its inhabitants. But regardless, the Surabaya Zoo is the... I went here with my family. We were here for about 3 and a half hours. I agree with other people that this place could be a treasure for Surabaya if it received much need maintenance and repairs. It's worth checking out and the entrance fee is very low.

considering the 15.000 rp per ticket, this place is value for money.very quiet if you come on weekdays,Bring some fruit to throw to the animals such as babi rusa, hippo and monkey is a good idea, next i will try to feed crocodile and arapaima,.this place is a good alternative to boring shopping mall

We went there prepared to see all the horrible things reported on the news but we didn't see any. It's strategically located in the middle of the city and this should be a treasure for the city and for Indonesia to keep. The tigers look healthy though I can imagine their feelings being locked up in cages so far insufficient... More
