just a park

comparing to the rest of the city is one of little possibility to spend many hours of walking in a part in Indonesia. Refreshing and relaxing.

Always amaze with this huge huge garden, consider that this is a very old place, but it has a very good maintenance, very clean and well organized. There also a bus which you can use to ride accross the garden. And also the security always drive around and remind you if the rain is coming so you can prepare. Yes... More

This botanical garden has been the icon of Bogor, not only because of the size, but also the diversities there. It is very humid, cool, and beautiful. If you are looking for well managed jungle within a city, this is the right place.

The weather is also much more reasonable than Jakarta's so walking around the park is enjoyable. Bogor is named a city of rain for a reason, as it almost rain everyday there. Apparently this made the city a perfect place for plants cultivation! Founded in the colonial era as 's Lands Plantentuin te Buitenzorg in 1817, this garden is the... More

The garden is beautiful and zoo museum too. If you have an opportunity to walk in presidential palace, you will be satisfied

A great day escape from the concrete of Jakarta. Can be pretty busy on the weekends though. But if you can get there during the week it's lovely. Some beautiful plants and huge trees, plenty of space to relax. The food in the restaurant is pretty average.

It was refreshing and peaceful to walk through the gardens after the rain. I was most astonished by the Mexican garden. I have no idea how they grow such arid cacti in such a wet climate. The zoo was also interesting. All the animals are preserved, many are extinct and thus not possible to see in real life. Many had... More

If you want to the Botanical Garden main gate, it's a crowed street, redolent with the smells of fresh and not-so-fresh produce in the market stalls across the street. More often than not, the streets are wet jumping over the puddles while avoiding the traffic makes one wonder "is this worth it?". But walk into the garden and it's a... More

Excellent food with excellent friends and colleagues. They tried to sing Bollywood songs in Indonesian way as few of our friends from India.
