They said if you come to this garden with BF/GF, prepare for break up no matter how long your relationship are. And it's true.

Fresh air, bicycling and picnic. A nice getaway from busy polluted Jakarta. Getting there can be trafficky....but once there, it's worth it.

Bogor Gardens is a real haven away from the surrounding congested streets. One can wander for hours to admire the large mature trees and variety of landscape. Ask for a map as you pass through the entrance gate. The gardens are well marked and plants well labelled. Lots of nice shady places to sit , but bring your own refreshments... More

The botanical garden is probably the only somewhat clean place in Bogor. It's nothing special, but still a nice walk. They could make a bigger effort to keep the river, that flows through the garden, clean. It's full of garbage and smells... With the entrance ticket you also get access to the Zoological Museum, which was super interesting. They exihibit... More

I went with the tour that goes around with a truck. It is more enjoyable and make your trip shorter, or you can rent a bike to go around, the bike rent is reasonable.

We like to visit this garden whenever we have the time, as in Jakarta there are not much parks or gardens like this to visit. If you are into botanical, you should come over here especially if you re around Bogor, as they have many species and very old plants. The place is beautiful and I considered it clean and... More

I visited the botanical garden at a saturday morning and was very surprised, that it was not really crwoded. The garden is an nice place to rest for half a day, but not longer in my opinion. I visited the garden with 2 friends. We took a train from Jakarta / Stasion Kuta to Bogor. I recommend it, that you... More

This is a good place for your family recreation. Located in the heart of Bogor, so it's easy to find. Take a walk through to see the famous Rafflesia Arnoldi. A good choice for perfect hideaway near Jakarta.

This was most unexpected when we finally found how to get in.Beautiful gardens, well kept, fantastic trees. Orchid house. So many exotic gardens from across the world. Lots of picnic areas. Sadly the restuarant was closed for renovation so no food. Worth a visit.

After some weeks working in Jakarta i finally had a day off. I decided to go to Bogor and visit the botanical gardens ("Kebun Raya" in Bahasa language). I really liked the botanical gardens, the area is huge and there are many beautiful trees and plants and flowers. For me the nicest was the area close to the "presidential Palace",... More
