Cute little lake, although it was a bit dingy, dark and seemed like it was more for locals. There were a few wooden stalls for souvenirs along the entrance, but nothing I would buy based on quality. Berry sellers galore, but if you just politely say "no," they leave you alone (for a few minutes). Our group of 7 rented... More

I went here today this afternoon. It was my first time. I thought on my way there I would place some nice restaurant, but it turned out only instant noodle I could find…But overall, the people are friendly, although the women who sold blackberry and strawberries are a bit forceful to me and my husband to buy their fruits ~_~... Not much of a sight really. Not worth the visit unless you are in Ciwidey area. Most highlight that the entrance fee is high for the sight/s it offered.

Well I call it so because of the myth surrounding this lake :D Anyway, before anything else, you shouldn't get your hopes up because this is as the name suggest, only a lake. I actually came because I got curious of the myth so overall I enjoyed this visit. What myth? Its a myth about a prince and a princess... More

The lake was beautiful, but when we went there it was raining so it was dampening our experience there. One of the thing you have to do there is to rent a small boat to circle the lake, when we did it, it was when miracle happens. The rain was receding and voila! Low RAINBOW on the lake! Beware of... Beautiful and breathtaking! Air was crisp and fresh and before you get to the lake itself, you will be treated by fascinating view of endless tea plantation. Given the fact that the lake is situated in a pretty high altitude, always remember to put on at least another layer because the air can be a lil on a chilly side,... More

The view of the lake is beautiful. Also the vendors here are not pushy and are content to let you wander around. The drive here also passes some beautiful tea plantations. What is not okay is the entrance fee - plus our car, me and spouse had to pay 110,000 rupiah. Come here if you go to Kawah Putih. Otherwise,... More

Visited Situ Patengan on 19 March 2014 after visiting Kawah Putih. To get there, you will have to pass by several tea plantations before reaching Situ Patengan. Basically, the place is just a big lake at the below of the mountain. You can rent a boat to take you for a ride. But I dare not because those boats are... More

Virtually nothing much to see in this place. I love the tea plantation view along the way before reaching this place, but not this lake. Many street stalls selling souvenirs but nothing interests me. But since it is just 15-20 mins drive from Kawah Putih, you may opt to drop by for a while. Otherwise, you may want to skip... More
