Patengan Lake is a famous but not-much-exposed attraction in the souther part of Bandung, West Java. This medium sized lake has all it takes to bring you inner peace together. There are small boats offering rides on the lake (which is a must if you are here) as you will be taken to a small island in the center where... More

We drove 2 hours to see Kawah Putih so we didn't want to waste those driving hours. Since Patengan Lake was nearby, we decided to check it out. The scenery was serene and would've been better if not for the gloomy weather. We took a boat ride around the lake anyway.

Spend an hour to getting around this lake by the duck boat. The weather is perfect, windy and cold. Unfortunately, the place is not well developed by govt. It is a lil bit dirty.

Love the scenery but nothing much interesting about this place. The boat ride is kind of expensive. The a small island in the middle of the lake called batu cinta.

The best bit of this lake is the journey to get there through the manicured tea plantations. Entrance for foreigners is rather excessive, and when you get to the lake, it is pleasant enough, but not stunning, and you have to run the gauntlet of strawberry sellers to get there. Many locals there with picnics, but it wasn't quite like... More

As someone else wrote, the pictures on the review make the lake look better than it does in real life. However, the tea plantations and scenery in the area along the roads are spectacular - especially if you are there on a day that's slightly overcast to bring out the colors. In addition, I was taken here on motorbike after... More

I gotta admit, the photos of this place looks much nicer than in real life. The lake isnt' particularly nice or anything but the best part of going to the Patengan Lake isn't about the lake but more of the tea plantation around it. The tea plantation was absolutely beautiful and it made the trip 100% worthwhile just to see... More

Must admit, that when we went there, I thought it was a different lake. So I was shocked about the size of the lake, quite small. The area is quite nice, but the lake shores are very dirty from the tourist leaving their rubbish there. Too bad!
