Interesting enough but not a must do. The walk in the forest from Goa Gaja is nice to do and if you are lucky the guide-dog will come to you and lead you all the way to the village. THIS was an awsome experience for me. The people there believe that it is the reincarnation of a local guide. After... More

I was a little surprised to read some of the negative reviews, but I guess it makes perfect sense. The Elephant Cave - and most of the other Hindu temples on Bali - are meant for only those who enjoy seeing historical monuments. Keep in mind that the Elephant Cave was built between the 10th and 14th century. To put... More

If you are looking for another place to visit, you can pencil this one in... but don't lose sleep if you can't make it. Its a nice, quick walk but there really isn't too much too see.

Once you get past the vendors the grounds are pretty nice. Out in front of the cave are fountains. The rock carvings around the cave entrance are quite something. Then there is the cave itself. Outside the cave there is a path that takes you around the grounds, with a river running through, and what appears to be a very... More

We really enjoyed our visit, we paid a guide $5.00 and were glad we did as we would not have found out about the history of the cave and the temple. We actually had to go twice as our camera's had flat batteries! There are many wonderful photo oportunities here.

It's interesting ancient temple, fairly quite site and potentially to be a beautiful tourist attraction. 15 - 30 minutes is enough to surround the site. we paid 15.000 rupiah for the entrance fee.

It is given name for Ganpati but Shiva (father) was also in there at opposite corner. The bridge as connected the parking to the main cave. The carved entrance was very interesting and mysterious. It is set-up in forest like natural greenery and was very peaceful. There was a big pool with human figures as water spouts. There was a... More

Some good, some bad, many sad. The stone carved temple itself and the pond can be viewed in less than 5 minutes and are ok but far from an excellent experience. The surroundings make up for a lot although many of the sort can be easily found elsewhere on Bali. There are some other carvings to be found around the main... More

Worth a visit. Ignore the touts selling you sarongs, they are free with the entry fee. The temple pool was almost empty when we were there but there are huge fish in it!

Interesting remnants of a buddhist temple. Unfortunately it was mostly destroyed during an eartquake. Pieces of the great construction are now scattered across a forested area. Covered with moss and other vegetation it almost has an Indiana Jones-ey feel to it. Worth a visit to imagine yourself how it must have been centuries ago. Come early because it can get... More
