Great day learning to batik. It's much more work than I thought, but so rewarding. The helpers are so supportive and go out of their way to make sure you leave with a beautiful and finished batik.

I spent a very relaxing day learning how to do Batik and came away with a beautiful piece of Batik that I had made. I was taught the whole process of Traditional Batik painting and was very professionally guided by Widya's wonderful expert team . I didn't have to take anything with me and Widya also arranged transport for me,... More

It's amazing to create such a great piece of art in one day. Widya and his team are kind, helpful, professional and very skilled. This is one of the best creative activities in Ubud. Children may have a hard time because of the level of difficulty and usage of hot wax.

I read some of the more negative reviews – – they must've been referring to another batik shop because this is just a small workshop with wonderful people who help you learn how to make traditional batik. The lesson is about five hours long, and you can either free draw what you want to paint or you can trace one of... My mom and I attended a class at widya's batik today and we had an amazing time. Widya and his family / colleagues were incredibly warm and welcoming. Not to mention extremely helpful with fixing all of our 'happy mistakes' (read: wax splotches all over the place). We would highly recommend this.

I have wanted to try Batik for sometime. After researching a few options in Ubud i came across Widya's Batik. Widya is a wonderful man with years of experience in Batik. He has created a great space with teachers who explain and guide all stages of the Batik process - the end result is a wonderful print! I would definitely... More

We have been there around 7 hours in total. Upon arrival it starts of right with the choosing of what to paint. You have examples you can choose from and finished batik on the walls to get an impression. You can paint completely free if you want, so anything goes. :) There will always be somebody to help if you... More
