We spent 7 hours creating our batiks, a detailed Ganesh and a Buddha. Komang walked us through every step of the process and helped us as much as we wanted. Batik is harder than it seems. They were all very friendly and we left with two batiks we really love, it was a highlight of our trip.

This class was so much fun! I loved learning about Batik. Widya made all of us feel at home while we got set up to create our master piece. Also, shuttle service was included from my hotel. So easy. I would fly back to Bali just to take another workshop with Widya. We ordered lunch from a local restaurant, and... More

I knew this was the place I wanted to go but couldn't find the exact name on trip advisor. Only the address - Sriwedari no 61 Br. Tegallantang Ubud. They are several Batik workshops offered but this is one of the best. They will pick you up and drop you off at no extra charge and the basic class is... More

Watching these women working so intricately is amazing, especially when you see the final products. The two women weaving cloth, exact process and the finished loom of cloth

The process of batik work is painstaking and slow and the workers are patient and calm. There is a small area outside the main large shopping area which shows how the cloths are woven and patterned. If you are after a "bargain" this is not the place. This is true batik work and is priced accordingly. It is not a... More

How to chose what to do on a trip of a lifetime. So happy Widya Batik Studio was the choice made based on TA reviewers and comments. As much fun and enjoyment you get from this experience, you also gain great appreciation for the artistry and craft that this art form entails. Komang, Widya and other staff were so gracious,... This stop we made to the Batik Langong workship shows the craftmanship of workers who are creating ties, clothes, bags, dresses, shirts , pants which are all hand drawn and handmade. They show you outside how the processing is done, including painting the pieces of clothes, and the waxing process. Then inside the market, you can purchase a piece of... More

My daughter & I had a great time. It was her idea via friend as a must do.......and a must do indeed. We started our day a little late & we chose rather intricate patterns......silly us. A good idea is to go with an idea of your own or they have plenty to chose from but keep them simple. The... More

After considering other batik classes in Ubud, I chose Widya based on the TA reviews and I am so glad I did! The whole experience was very organized and geared towards helping you learn the art. Widya picked me up at my home stay and brought me to the workshop, where many of his relatives are there to welcome and... More
