We made our own way up to Ubud for this cooking class but for a small fee could have been picked up by and returned to our hotel afterwards by Paon Bali. On arrival in Ubud, we were greeted by Wayan, the husband of the show. Wayan is incredibly welcoming and funny. Wayan then took the group of about 14... More

We went on a morning tour which started at the food market, which was amazing. We were given an insight into daily shopping for the Balinese, from buying the elements of offerings to their native fruits and vegetables. Next, it was off to the family’s rice plantation where we were given an overview of what rice farming is like. Then... More

I wanted to do a cooking class while in Ubud and this surpassed my expectations and was so amazing. The total experience by Wayan and Puspa was outstanding. We were welcomed into their home, entertained( they are both very funny) and shown how to cook the most mouthwatering dishes. The course was very professionally run and I had a ball.... More

This review is long overdue. We had a magical time at Paon. I tell everyone it is my only must due in Ubud. Everyone associated with the company is so kind and funny. They welcome you into their home with open arms and alluring smells. Be sure to come hungry and ready to start chopping. There are a variety of... More

My husband and I have a FABULOUS time cooking here!! Started with a beautiful and knowledgeable market tour by the husband Wayan. Followed by a tour of the couples home and explanations of a typical Balinese family compound setup- very interesting. We then joined our group of travelers from all over the world! Our chef, Puspa has a huge smile... More

Had an amazing day with Puspa and her team. It was the best cooking class I've ever attended. Very efficient and professional. Absolutely loved the food and ate til I couldn't eat any more. I'm vegetarian and was very well catered for. Highly recommend this day as a fun and explorative day with some great recipes to bring home. Thanks... More

Our experience began with a visit to a rice paddy where we learnt how rice was grown and harvested. Puspa and Wayan greeted us warmly at their home with a welcome drink while showing us their typical Balinese home. Puspa and her very efficient helpers talked us through the preparation and cooking (very hands on) of at least eight delicious... More

Picked up on time from accommodation . Visited rice paddy and onto the class. Puspa greeted us warmly and we cooked a feast of eight dishes from very fresh ingredients. Each course was prepared from the beginning by the small group. Loved the aromas and tastes. Highly recommend this course.

We absolutely loved this cooking class. From the pick up to the end, everything was so well organized. The owners are lovely and the staff as well. It was nice to be hands on throughout the whole cooking class, and the food was delicious! Overall we had a lovely time to learn about Balinese food and traditions. It was also... More
