Highly recommended. I'm a super foodie and this is the best of the best. The whole day is great as you get up and go to the local market where you learn about all of the local food's, coffee and spices. It goes from one extreme from being in the busy colourful markets in the centre of the town to... More

Presentation of food, materials and hospitality is outstanding. Very open, inviting and friendly. Amazing Balinese food! Favorite was the Tempe Goreng amd the Mushroom Soup. We asked to learn how to make a sambal, and the they have kindly added the Sambal Matah to the list! Yumm! Most certainly would recommend.

Highly recommend doing this!! We were collected from our hotel, taken around the market where we got to taste some local produce, then driven into the hills where we were shown and told about rice paddy fields and how they are managed. The cooking class was next and the venue was fanastic! So much thought has been put into the... More

Spent six hours in this wonderful immersion experience of Indonesian cooking. Host and hostess were most gracious in welcoming all participants as well as asking about food allergies and any special dietary restrictions. Food was prepared by participants, and enjoyed by all. I highly recommend this as a DO NOT MISS experience while in BALI.

Our family of five (2 adults and 3 children) attended an afternoon/evening class and we all left with a great experience, and an enjoyable evening and meal. Our session commenced with a visit to a local rice paddy field to look at the harvesting activity and then we were taken to Puspa and Wayan's family compound. We were greeted with... More

First, the market tour was great with introductions and tastings of local fruits as well as descriptions of vegetables, herbs and spices used in Balinese cooking. Then we went to the rice patty fields where we learnt about how rice was produced. And finally we went back to the cooking class. Puspa, the main teach is lovely and lots of... More

Had such a fun morning (definitely book the morning class). Meet in ubud market at 8ish and then shown around the food stalls - veg, fruit and spices. Getting a good explanation of everything. Then taken to the rice paddies where the farming system is explained, then on to puspa's house. She is something else! Very fun and lively. Explains... More

We attended the morning class on January 2, and loved it! I really enjoyed the format of the class where there is an explanation about the ingredients to be used, and then everyone helps out by preparing the vegetables, tofu, spices and meat before the actual cooking begins. Puspa and her assistants were very helpful throughout the process by answering... More

The cooking class starts from 8 in the morning. We brought our baby girl with us and they even could provide baby sitting service, though we didn't use it. My wife enjoyed all, and my one and half year old baby girl spent a great day at Paon as well. They even provide a large doll for my daughter when... More
