Was so lucky enough for taking this class! I called Paon Cooking class 4days prior to my trip in Bali, Yes I'm a solo traveller and my first time in Bali. 😊 Puspa was so accommodating to confirmed my booking thru phone though I'm not really sure if they will really come to my hotel in Ubud to pick me... We enjoyed Puspa's cooking class during our staying in Ubud and we loved it. The day started in the early morning, when we have been picked up from our hotel and brought to the food market where the guide showed us most of the ingredients that we would have used lately during the class. Afterwards we have been introduce to... More

What an incredible experience. Wayan and Puspa invite you to their home to learn the techniques and traditions of Balinese cuisine. After a tour of the market and learning about local fruits and vegetables and a tour of the rice terraces we began our class. The food and ingredients were fresh and locally grown. The class wasn't intimidating, but fun,... More

Took the afternoon class with my cousin, which took about 4 hours from start to finish. Price is good for what you get: pick up and drop off at hotel, quick visit of rice fields, cooking class and dinner. The place was neat and with high hygiene standard; we only used fresh ingredients and nothing ready made. Our hosts were... More

Just got back from the cooking class and my husband and I enjoyed it immensely! The market tour was awesome because the guide was telling us all about their local ingredients. The class itself was super efficiently run and everyone got to take part in every aspect, even with a group of 20, which we were worried about. The food... More

We attended and evening class and were lucky enough to have only our five family members in our class. It was wonderful from the start. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We felt very much at ease and our chef made us all feel very welcome and eager to join in. All of our "children" are now in their... More

Such an excellent evening! I did the afternoon course on Monday and was picked up at 3.45 from my hotel started at 4-8. We took a trip to the rice fields where we learned about how rice was produced, took a few snaps and headed back to their home. As a group we cooked 8 dishes and sat down to... More

We attended a morning class with our 3 kids, and we were all made very welcome. The trip to the Markets was informative, but hard as we had a large group. It was interesting hearing about the rice paddies, before heading to the school. You are separated into groups and walked through the process of making lunch. It was delicious.... More
