From start to finish I thoroughly enjoyed this course and the food was amazing. The friendly and inviting owner is obviously passionate and takes pride in her business. The course itself is extremely well organised, is very hands on and the friendly staff are always there to help. I would highly recommend this cooking course to anyone.

We went for the cookery class as a couple which meant that we had a very personal experience. We prepared several dishes which we the ate. All the staff were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would recommend this as a great way to see a local family and learn about Balinese food.

We were so pleased we booked with Paon Bali! The package included a tour of the local Balinese market, which enabled you to understand the ingredients you were going to be using later as well as interesting insight into the day to day life of a Balinese family, for example the vast amounts of rice that is needed per day... We all love food, we all love a fun time, most of us like some education, we all enjoy being entertained - this cooking class does it all. I recommend the morning class, starts at the markets, taught me all my confidence to barter and walk through it again by myself, also got to try fruits I had not had... More

We did the afternoon class. We had about 14 People at our lesson and we were split into 2 smaller groups. Our group had 7 so it was a nice sized group. I have an allergy to shell fish and with a lot of what we were making contained shrimp paste I was a little worried. Our teacher was aware... More

We attended this class on 9 Sept 2014 on the recommendation of a friend & we weren't disappointed. Puspa helped us create a traditional Balinese meal that tasted as good as it looked! She was an engaging & entertaining host! We made soup for entree, the traditional yellow sauce which is a base for many main meals & a number... More

I would highly recommend this cooking class to anyone. The day started with a pickup at our hotel by Made who then took us on a tour of the Ubud markets learning about and tasting local produce. This was very informative and gave us a good insight into the ingredients we would be using in our cooking class. This was... More

My partner and I did the afternoon class, starting at 4pm. We were picked up from our hotel and felt very welcome and comfortable from the beginning. The chef explained all the ingredients and the menu really clearly. Everyone had the opportunity to prepare a part of each dish and it was lots of fun seeing a group of people... More

Booked a class on the last minute and good thing they still have an availability. This activity is highly recommended when in Bali. Auntie Puspa (the owner) was very much enthusiastic while explaining things to us. She is a good teacher. Learned Balinese cooking techniques and preparations.
