I've enrolled in a number of cooking classes around the globe and Paon was unique. After visiting the market, we stopped by the rice paddy fields to learn how the rice is brought from paddy to table. Then we were welcomed into Puspa and Wayan's home, learning about the design of a traditional Balinese home. Our group was large but... More

Wow what a jam packed experience. We saw rice paddies, had a talk on village life, visited their traditional Balinese house, as well as, cooking and eating 6 yummy dishes. Great fun - lovely location. Really good value.

I bring my PT clients to Bali for Fitness Adventures and the first stop is always the Paon Bali Cooking Class. It sets us up for a great week of healthy eating and feeling great. From the market visit to the rice paddies and then into their home, Puspa and Wayan go to great lengths to make you feel welcome... More

This cooking class was so much fun and an absolutely memorable experience. The warm welcome in Puspa's house was followed by a introduction of all the different ingredients (a lot of ginger, chili and garlic were involved :) the cooking itself was so interesting and we produced seven local balinese dishes in total. They all tasted delicious. We will surely... More

We did this cooking course this afternoon and were not disappointed. A lovely fun relaxed atmosphere. You get talked through the ingredients, prepare them then cook them in couples. The good is all then pooled so everyone's we're mixed. Very good at accommodating dietary requirements and gave us some history and info about family life in Bali. Would highly recommend.... More

I suggest to everyone who is visiting Bali to attend a cooking class, it is very interesting to discover the local dishes. The session was divided in 3 parts, visit to the market with an explanation of vegetables, fruits and spices, visit to rice crops and finally cooking class in the beautiful house of the organizers. Good humour and good... More

Was my first cooking school and I enjoyed it. Definitely go for the morning class, as you get a more holistic insight into the culture, with a local market visit, trip to the rice paddies and then time in the kitchen. The hosts, Paspa and Wayan are full of personality and help to make the day special. The groups can... More
