We did a half-day (4 hour) cooking class with chef Blake Thorne with a group of friends and had an absolutely fantastic day - in fact one of our best days in Bali. Many cooking classes are an enjoyable day out, but in this one I actually learned a number of cooking techniques that I will use regularly. The class... More

I can be sometimes be a hard reviewer, but I thought the cooking workshop was spot on. Blake our chef, was spot on with his balance of professionalism, tips and tricks and jovial personality. We all learnt a great deal and I walked away feeling I had the confidence to recreate the meals at home (some of which I have... More

I found the Asian ingredients in western cooking class excellent and much more "hands on" than a traditional balinese class I attended at another cooking school. Blake, the chef, was very generous and knowledgeable and really passed on what he had learned about Balinese ingredients and how he used them in Western style cuisine. The kitchen garden tour was most... More

Attended the" Asian ingredients with European food" class as I had done a few "local cooking" classes in the past in Bali and other S/E Asian countries and always have loved the experience but I dont have the tools or the equipment or the fabulous outdoor setting and staff to replicate what is taught /demonstrated in the classes. Mosiac offered... More

The kitchen up at Mozaic is a relaxing way to spend a few hours. While not inexpensive, it is still within reason for the wonderful tips you get for interesting recipes. Plus you get to eat the food you help prepare; as well as getting to keep the recipe book and apron. The two chefs we met were exceptionally personable. More

The cooking class was about $120 USD, which is astronomical by Bali standards. It might be the best money we every spent! I had more fun, made better food, and learned more in this class than all the others I have taken combined. James was outstanding, funny, informative and really cool to cook with. This is for beginners to the... More

This cooking class is serious fun in a beautiful space. Among the classes offered, some are for professionals, some for foodies and visitors. I took the course "Asian Ingredients in Western Cuisine", which is something of a glimpse of Mozaic's culinary philosophy. There were three students: one Balinese, one French and me, and Chris Salans taught us with great ease... More

This was the best cooking class ever..I went with my friend and we had so much fun cooking with the chef and of course eating. The kitchen is fantastic and the garden full of cooking ingredients is a very special place. If you want to learn something different don't miss the next cooking class at mozaic. Stefania More
