From the minute Rai picked us up we were excited and looking forward to the day ahead. in the car on the way he taught us so much about balinese culture and the rituals and practises of balinese people. t was absolutley fascinating. we went to his home for some tea and coffee tasting, he showed us the amazing garden... We were looking for a cooking class. We were told that Bali Nature Walks had a cooking class so we decided to take it. It turned out to be the most outstanding experience we had while we were in Bali. First Dewa picked us up at the hotel and took us to the local market in his village. After the... More

Dewa, one of the two guides, picked me up at the hotel although i was the only guest who had sigend up for that day; it turned out to be really good. The ricefileds around Ubud are beautiful and it is a little bit sad, as there has been so much building of new houses and hotels, some of huge... More

I had a tour on my own as another family dropped-out last minute, driven by Dewa Rai and guided by Dewa Putra. I especially enjoyed the rice-field walk, which lasted about 2 hours, Southeast of Ubud (close to Gianyar/Sukawati), close to the tour-guides' village of origin. The views are stunning, and if you enjoyed the rice-field paths in Ubud but... More

We booked the Bali Nature Tour in our hotel and we can only disagree with the complaints mentioned. Dewa Rai and Dewa Putra are the best guides you can wish. It's a private tour with the best service. Due to a mistake of our hotel, we did not have time for breakfast, but Dewi invited us in his home and... More

As someone mentioned on this site, it seems like every tour is different. We spent 2 hours on the rice paddies going through a lot of mud and bushes. My legs are pretty scraped up from the walk -- so please wear long pants! He didn't warn us in advance, so we wore sandals -- might have appreciated the warning.... More

I did a nature walk with these young men, when I was in Bali for a few days. They bent over backward to make sure I had a good time! Dewa Putra and I even demonstrated our respective martial arts (he, the Indonesian martial art of silat - me, Okinawan karate) for each other on the narrow paths between rice... More

I really wanted to like this tour. However, I dont think there's really anything that stood out or that there's any novelty factor in this tour. Here's a list of the pros and cons based on my experience with this tour. Good: -Reasonably affordable at Rp200,000 -Private tour -Guide did acknowledge my fear of certain reptiles and avoided some specific... More

From the first email through the last good-bye, Dewa Rai was a pleasure and wealth of information. This is the nature tour to take. Small, private, easily customizable. Worth every cent you pay. He met us at our hotel an on the ride to UBUD, he gave us tidbits of information about the area and reviewed our itinierary. Always with... More
