It is definitely an impressive sight to behold, although there isn't much here to warrant staying longer unless you wish to eat with a view, or look in shops that are typical of many places in this part of Bali. It was a bit of a surprise that they charged an entry fee - although it was peanuts - 1000... More

Pretty average to us. Seems that it looked much better on postcard =) Probably it was due to the harvest season just being over. Nevertheless, no regret that we stopped by here for 15mins just to soak in the greeneries and took some photos. We were there around 3pm and didn't experience the local vendors trying to sell us stuff.... More

They are definetly worth a couple of panoramic photos. Just be aware that the road is quite narrow, and crowded. Also, I have seen people tripping over the high steps as they were walking going down the hill.

If you have spent any time in Bali then you will have seen a photo of this rice terrace. Great place to get your photo taken but not somewhere I would go out of my way to visit if I was on a limited time frame. If you are staying for more than a week in Ubud then either rent... More

The rice terraces are well worth a look, but you can see more of these if you spend a bit of time looking around outer Ubud without the tourist trap element.

Bring out the camera, take the picture and hop on back on the bus. Overrated? Well, its very pretty and if you're staying in Ubud, it's only 15 or so minutes away. But if from Kuta, make sure that its not the only thing on the agenda. Not much else around other than the trinket shops and small cafes for... More

We really enjoyed our visit to Tegallalang rice terraces from Ubud. It is a short and pleasant drive, around half an hour, nice landscapes. Then you pay to enter the village around 2 euros. Stop by Terrace restaurant for a freshly squeezed fruit juice or cold Bintang beer. The VIEWS ARE FANTASTIC and the restaurant is just excellent.

Beautiful scenery, truly something to behold. Makes you appreciate how much work goes in to producing rice when you observe the back breaking, low paid work that the Balinese do.
