Let me first start by telling you how lovely and full of passion the people are how work here. I <3 them all! The dogs and cats have all a sad story to tell, and most of them have a medical condition. There are some dogs that were hit by a car, there were dogs that were almost bare of... More

Drop into the animal welfare office and make a donation when you are there. A little money goes a long way, and they do terrific work. Not only will you feel better, but the poor distressed abandoned dogs who are in generally horrible condition, will be looked after and saved. Highly recommend

I visited their shop. They neuter and vaccinate street dogs and cats (mostly dogs) against rabies, and I think they have a belter and encourage adoptions. They have products for sale with their logo to raise money, and are happy to receive donations. I was really happy to learn of their existence and work.

Being a regular visitor to Bali we had become aware of this group and their work with animals, particularly dogs in Bali. On our recent visit we noticed a timid, scruffy, horribly thin little dog around a particular area. One night we saved some table scraps for him and quietly approached as he sat trembling in a dark spot against... More

We recently visited the BAWA store in Sanur and in Ubud. What a terrific job the team is doing! It is distressing to see so many dogs, in particular, that look poorly cared for and in obvious need of sterilsation, especially in rural areas of Bali and of Lombok. We found an injured kitten in Sanur and took it to... More

Always drop into this shop to see Mya their blind mascot and to make a donation. They are doing a great job with the Bali dogs - they deserve tourist support.

Great to know that other Bali residents are getting some support and assistance. On a previous trip to Bali (20 years ago) I was dismayed and shocked at the neglect of of dogs and cats in Bali. It is a great thing to see these animals better cared for and see the improvement in their existences. A bit worried about... More

Bali is home to many animals , dogs though share the streets and the homes of all of the tourists and residents. Although the situation has improved greatly this organization still needs both financial and people support. Dogs in Bali are rarely the pampered family pet that they are in European countries. They often suffer and struggle with hunger, disease... More

Just went in to spend some money, which we did happily. Have been going to Bali for 16 years now and I have noticed in Ubud in particular that the dogs seem a lot healthier and there are fewer of them on the streets. Some people just have kind hearts, thank you.

I had a look at the Ubud shelter, I would have bought some items to support the animals if the prices were reasonable. Majority of Bali is cheap, food immunisations etc so I didnt see why an anklet was $20. I do love that someone is so commited to helping these animals though!
