There seem to be a few scare stories on here about ocean star express but from our experience it doesn't deserve them. We travelled from kuta to Gili Trawangan in June and the whole experience was quite smooth and uneventful. They did pick us up half an hour late (7.30 when they said 6.30-7) but this is Bali and if... More

I confirmed my reservation a week before should have done it the day before because they never turned up at the hotel. Then the number they provided was disconnected. Eventually reception found another number and they turned up an hour and half late. We were told we would depart at 09:30 we didn't leave until 10:30 and didn't arrive to... More

So we booked Ocean Star Express through the reception of our hostel in Sanur. Our schedule was from Sanur – Nusa Lembongan – Gili T – Sanur. The price on the leaflet was 1,200,000IDR pp. There were 4 in the group and I managed to haggle him down to 1,000,000IDR pp. The trip to Lembongan was quite rough and I... More

Thought we were on sugriwa express but ended up on ocean star. They pick u up from hotel at 7.30 for a 10 am departure so u sit in a hot restaurant at the beach for over an hour waiting for no reason. I wanted to return at 4pm as their catalogue said. They push all the departures closer together... More

30 minutes fast boat over to Lembongan Island. Sat inside the boat on the way there which was very comfortable. on the way back we sat on top which was a refreshing experience. saw Dolphins on the way out which was an added bonus!

We booked a day trip to Nusa Lembongan through an Agent. We read the information and chose Ocean Star Express. They were cheaper than the Bali Hai Cruises and seemed to suit what we wanted to do at the times we wanted. We were told we would be picked up at 7am for the transfer from our hotel to Sanur.... The boat was a little smaller than some of the others, so the waves in the rainy season were a little rough. Our driver was late to pick us up by 45 min. But we made it on the boat with no problems. We also booked a trip back to Bali from Gili Air. We were told to go to... More

Way a good boat trip to Lembongan with Ocean Star, All I can suggest for those looking to do the same, is go directly to the beach where they have an office and they launch the boats from to purchase your ticket, you will find it so much cheaper.

Ocean Star Express was a good choice for our trip to Nusa Lembongan. The hotel pick up was prompt, and the fast speedboat felt generally pretty safe. There were enough life vests on board for everyone, with an option of sitting above deck in good weather. Our guesthouse was very close to the ferry docks on the northernmost end of... More

A quick and efficient way to get to another Island, Staff helpful and friendly and everything runs on time. Don't wear fancy shoes or clothes as you have to take off your shoes and walk through the water to get on the boat.
